The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is an epic, open-ended single-player game where you create and play any kind of character you can imagine. Be the noble hero embarking on an epic quest, or an insidious thief rising to leadership of his guild. Be a malevolent sorcerer developing the ultimate spell of destruction, or a reverent healer searching for the cure to a plague. Your actions define your character, and your gameplay changes and evolves in response to your actions. Confront the assassins' guild, and they take out a contract on you. Impress them, and they try to recruit you instead. No two sagas are the same in the world of Morrowind.

Gameplay is further extended with the inclusion of The Elder Scrolls Construction Set (bundled with the game). This powerful tool is being used to create the entire game, and will also allow players to modify and add to Morrowind in any way they see fit. Change character or creature attributes and skills, introduce new weapons or dungeons into the game, or create entire new worlds to explore. Consequently mods for this game are everywhere, ranging in size from mere characters to fully themed packs! So should you ever want to expand on your gaming experience, be sure to scope out just a few of the amature modifications available and in existence!

Today we just wanted to represent some weapon stuff which will appear in our mod. Thanks a lot to our model maker who has given us these sweet gifts.

Most of these models will be available in 1.7 version, some of them you'll see later. By the way, that's not all. I'm sure we will please you with other great models.

All these models (except Dagger of Symmachus) made by Asek. Thanks to him for his great work!
And thanks to Rinki Katoma for the dagger :)

I tried playing, but I just can't. The combat in this game annoys the hell out of me, I hit things with a sword or whatever, but it doesn't actually hit them. Also the view distance is horrible, and when I turn it up with mods, it just lags like crazy. I can run Skyrim on high with 60 fps, yet i can't even turn the view distance on Morrowind up without dropping to 20 fps or lower. and even then I can still hardly see anything.

There are a few mods to help fight the appalling combat.
-Combat Enhanced
-Combat Experience Depth Percetion

As for the view distance, I don't know, I never have a problem.

Tamriel Rebuilt, Morrowind Rebirth, all the mods by Emma, Mournhold Expanded, Province Cyrodiil, Skyrim Home of the Nords, LGNPC...etc

Tons of recommended mods, really. All clean and I've had no problems with them whatsoever.

Stuttering Frame Rate problems? It runs on a single core and it is quite hardware demanding for a very old game. Are you using Morrowind Graphics Extender? That is known as a major FPS killer, but is highly customizable...

Turn down view distance and shadows in the ingame menu that might help also.

Daggerfall for me was the best game in size and landmass. And there were features in DF that was not repeated in future games, the only problem was the 2d graphics. As for Morrowind, it is still my favorite game and MW Rebirth v1.9 is one of the best mods out there! Oblivion for me was too blocky with big meshes and zooming face dialouge. Fallout 3 was also too blocky! Skyrim I can't play because I need a new computer still running XP and I dislike Steam from Value. Will have to play Skyrim on an X-box 360 to try it out.

Morrowind is the most highly moddable though, and I think it went the furthest in terms of lore and variety of side quests.
Skyrim and Oblivion lost alot of the depth in dialogue & storyline, and instead added consequence free faction joining, quests that can't be failed, NPC's that can't be killed, medieval GPS quest arrows, levelled enemies and items so that every encounter feels generic.. and for what? Better graphics? Morrowind Rebirth has shown it can be almost as good in that regard. Physics and AI? Well I guess they get some credit for that.
