Here's a preview of our current HUD (Heads Up Display).

Early HUD

All displays shown are fully functional. The missing displays soon to be added are armor, game mode specific indicators/counters, and the score board. We currently do not plan for any radar or minimap displays.

Here's a preview of the "Weapon Screen" which will be accessible from the Main menu. This screen allows layers to view every weapon in the game and its stats.

The upcoming alpha release (no set date yet) will feature a small portion of the weapons to be in the final version and some of the classes.

I plan to have two choices for every weapon type (Assault rifle, SMG, etc.)

...what do you intend to do that will make this game -somehow- different from any other class based shooter/modern combat shooter.

Do players get to make their own class, such as how it worked in F.E.A.R. 2's multiplayer, with a weight system based on their inventory choices?

Will the campaign actually take place with the main characters not being American, and perhaps America not actually being the focus.

We have had this concept of multiple tiers for classes for about a year now and I can't think of any other game that has implemented something like this. There are 3 tiers of classes. Basic classes which are unlocked from the start. Intermediate and Advanced classes are unlocked when the player has played their precursor class well enough.

For example:
Rifleman (Basic) -> Marksman (Intermediate) -> Sniper (Advanced)

Doing poorly enough at an unlocked class will re-lock it and force the player to start again with the previous classes.

We haven't gotten the campaign planned out very much yet. We are trying to focus on multiplayer aspects first. However all the ideas we have passed around so far have not put America as a focus.

Is that a per round thing so the players best at specialized classes get them or do unlocks stay unlocked every game.

you guys should make t so that if the player stays under too long the screen gets bloody and then he dies after however long hes under.
