Wolfgame presents miniFlake: a Retro 1bit RPG! Started 3 years ago as a simple 1 week challenge and evolved into labor of love. Featuring amazing 1bit graphics, lcd handheld screen effects, retro 8bit sounds and music, miniFlake is destined to lure you into it's deep dark crypts. Relying heavily on procedural generation algorithms, each time you play the game specifically taylored just for you. Everything from villages to npc's, dungeons to weapons, no two games will be the same! You stroll into a new town, full of hopes of grandeur as you've just finished your initiation task into the infamous Crawlers Guild of dungeon raiders. As you make your way to the local Inn, you look about for anybody you might be able to get information from. After asking around, you discover the whereabouts of a local dungeon where it's said that treasures await anyone willing to brave the depths. Here is where your journey begins.

Hello everyone!
We're here to celebrate the release of Alpha X! It's been a long road, and we know you've been waiting for an update for quite some time. Unfortunately, the project was shelved for a while, while we found a replacement for the original programmer. By now you're probably aware that he was unable to fulfill his role on the project, and stepped down so that the game could be developer further. We'd like to thank Mr. Legasse and we hope he is able to return to the world of game development soon.
I'd also like to take this time to introduce my new partner in miniFlake development, Chris Warriner. Chris is a programmer by trade, and for him this will be a passion project. We hope you'll welcome him onboard. He's having to pick up where Mr. Legasse left off, and as some of you may know, receiving a new codebase and parsing it is no easy task!
Without further adieu, here is the list of changes for Alpha X.
Most notably, you can now use your mouse to navigate the interface. This code will be a major step into seeing the game onto mobile and touch devices in the future.
•Added mouse/touch controls for the interface. This will allow for cleaner interaction on PC.
•Added Decorative items added to the game including
•Added Randomized overworld terrain system
•Added torches around the stairwaysFixed bug where interacting with an npc wouldnt stop them from wandering
•Fixed debugged Tome, drastically increasing usability
•Fixed debugged fishing, drastically increasing smoothness of gameplay
•Fixed debugged terrain autotiling and added more terrain transition types into chipset layout
•Removed Access to the town for now, we'll be overhauling the town system soon.
Thank you for your patience and patronage. If you have any questions, please ask myself or Chris. We'd be happy to help you.

Hey guys, thanks for taking so much interest in the project. I'd like to formally apologize for taking so long between updates. As ouren mentioned I'm in-between homes at the moment. Couch surfing and trying to find steady income so that work on this can continue. But trust me, next update is going to be a big one :)
@stinkytaco & @OurenI: I was thinking about the visual style conversation you guys were having and I like the current style alot. From the scale of the game to the graphics it's great. But nostalgic graphics are not something you guys coined.
Though you have a great niche with the oldschool Game and Watch type games. I wonder if you could find a way to push the effects with more layering or some sort of high sharpness type filter. I am eager to see whats coming in the next version.
We hope to be able to give players some sort of screen-color filters in the future. A good example of that being at play in a modern release is in Retro City Rampage. Don't expect any filters in a10, but I certainly want to do it in the future.
Indecom is currently trying to find a new place to live, and is the programmer of the game. We'll be doing a pretty big push for a10 when it's out. Thank you for your feedback, and I hope we can deliver on the promise this game makes.
As long as we know your trying and you guys keep in touch, you can be sure we will support you. This is a pretty niche game, I don't think we'll forget about you either ;).
a10 is coming along!
By the way, excuse my naive quesiton, but how do you save in the game?
Expect it soon!
that is a feature in the works :)
Thank you gentlemen!
It would be soooo good! I like the game, but the sprites are too difficult for my eyes to distinguish.
