Minecraft is a sandbox construction game created by Mojang AB. It's development started around the 10th of May 2009. Pre-orders for the full game started being accepted on the 13th of June, 2009.
Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. At night monsters come out, make sure to build a shelter before that happens. It also has music by C418.
I've renamed the old version of the game "Minecraft Classic", and will be slowly phasing it out. I won't remove it, though. Just hide it.

Whats the system requirments?
not sure. they're pretty open though. I can run it on my laptop, and only get lag on the day/night transitions. if you just get a semi-modern system, it should work.
also, java is a must. that's the only must I know of.

nope. I mean, this game is based on "you're on an island on your own". I don't think anyone would be able to make a gun on their own :P

The head is a bit too big for a small body and not having atleast 16/17th
century gunpowder weapons is a bit weird, if minecraft is something like searching for gold in small islands then it would be nice.

I'm thinking about buying this...I'm actually surprised that i haven't bought it yet and it has got to be an AWESOME game when it fully releases. I love games like that. If I buy it now i'm not going to have to pay for it again..ever..right?
Also I have something to point out: it says you have to BUY the game to save your creations (online and offline) if i remember correctly...well, if you ignore the message you can save it on your computer and even though it lags, you can still load it. Is that a bug or am i missing something?

A game that has took many nights from me, I love it!
Still an amazing game, but one thing it really needs is some kind of quick-start mode. Starting a brand new game can be really repetitive and boring, especially during the first few nights.
A quick start mode could start you with a basic cabin, a workbench, a furnace, a wooden pick-axe, a wooden sword, and 20 torches.
