Unless there are any emergency things to fix, I won't do any more updates before 1.7. Going to E3 on Saturday. I will be bringing my laptop to do some development, but I won't be able to do much testing.
ONWARDS TO THE ADVENTURE UPDATE! *holds up sword, poses dramatically*
- Changed the material of glowstone from “glass” to “stone”. This means you need a pickaxe to get resources from it
- Made the recipe sizes for creating cloth blocks and glowstone blocks smaller (2x2 instead of 3x3)
- Boats falling down into water lose their vertical momentum very fast
- Fixed destroying a boat spawning the player too low, causing them to sometimes fall through the ground
- Added a new use for bonemeal
- Re-introduced unlimited FPS, renamed the option again
- Made glowstone drop more loot
- Boats float up to the surface quicker
- Fixed beds not working very well at all in SMP
- Removed Herobrine

Woot, new uses for bone meal! Got tons of that stuff laying around, haven't had wolves spawn, and nothing to really use it for except tree fertilizer. Fantastic!

I have never, ever , EVER seen Herobrine.
You fixed that bug with the boat that spawns you halfway into the ground?
Does this mean that will also cover the same bug that occurs with a minecart? Cause I've had that problem as well
fake herobrine was removed. notch is making the most complex mob in minecraft by far - the Herobrine. if my predictions are true he might come on halloween and he'll really make cave-houses and appear in the far. but one but - we cant kill him. he de-spawn when he is as near as 70-100 bloks to you...
That actually does creep me out lol. If I was the only one in the server and I come across a creepy cave-house that no one built or see a figure of someone standing on a hill watching me from afar, that would give me chills. I hope he does add him :D
HEROBRINE!
I think he said "REMOVED HEROBRINE" to make us believe there was none before this update. He is probably adding Herobrine. OH GOD *gets his bow and sword*
Herobrine is real, I saw him again today. He also burned me to a crisp. And I don't use mods.
