I've had this happen once.
I have its a bug were the world thinks it generates blocks under it when in fact it doesn't
I am getting that quite frequently. I recently found a floating clump of dirt in the shape of a Tetris block and was suitably amused.
yes now mincrafte worlds load in Tetris blocks. Everything is right with the world...
