Operation Dead Zone is a Single, co-op and Multi-player game based on post apocalyptic warfare. Single-player The Dead Zone is a 2,300 km2 zone in the centre of a post apocalyptic Australia. The Dead Zone is a baron wasteland full of Soldiers fighting for control of the large cities that are based through out The Dead Zone. Factions are constantly at war over the land and its valuable resources. Mutated creates plague the land and all areas that are unguarded, factions must sometimes unwillingly band together to fight off these creatures and the hell they bring with them. Co-op Factions have been at war for 2 years and it doesnt seem like it will stop any time soon. Work together with a friend in fighting off factions and mutated creates as you navigate the baron wasteland with a friend. Multiplayer Choose your faction and fight together and against each other in Free for All and warfare. Large open worlds and small close quarters maps provide intense action.

Hello,
While everyone has been quietly waiting for updates on Operation Dead Zone we have been hard at work modeling weapons and creating a base environment for the game itself. We are having issues with the environment and since have been creating 3 different environments due to the vast size of the level.
3D Modeling is going well and we are almost ready to do a small YouTube showcase video. The models are still very basic and require a lot of work but our modeller is still determined to show the basics of what we have been doing.
The storyline is being slowly developed as we create the base of the game. We are working our way towards an open world Stalker base storyline, without the radiation, russians or factions of course. It features a post appocolyptic outback of australia in the year 2016. the world has been split up into factions and you play a young 17 year old boy that has spent his live learning to survive. Australia was the last country to be attacked and was prepared for the assult... they thought.
We are looking forward to working with some of you fans and ModDB, Twitter and Facebook users. We need voice actors for almost all the NPC's within the game and would love to hear all your voices in our game.
We are designing a HUD within our game. The entire menu and heads up display system will be within the game.

Sounds interesting, Australia makes a good setting for a wasteland... is that a good or bad thing saying that about your home country? :D

I could also help with the trailer. BTW, what I meant earlier is just, like, if the sfx in the demos are placeholders, if they aren't that's fine, I'm just offering a bit of extra distinctiveness.

Do you need some sound effects? I might be able to help but I don't know anything about CryEngine. Still though, I can probably provide unless you're using defaults.
Interesting. I have to admit I'm Not familiar with CryEngine but you should work on changing the HUD so it's interpreted as a rip off of Crysis. Also, a new name would be a good idea.
The demos look good though, nice work.
