Micro Blitzed is an arcade racer, at least kind of. The goal of the game is to complete missions like cooking eggs, feeding the cat, etc. There will also be some "classical" time-trial challenges.
A multiplayer mode is being planned (split screen, lan, online): Battle tags, co-op missions, etc.

What we're working on:
We've started to create the game from scratch (see April 2012 video). The previous builds were all way to heavy and buggy. Now, the cars have advanced physics.

I just wanted to share a more detailed concept with you. I think we really need help with mostly ideas, but also car modeling.
So here we go:
There will be campaigns in single player modes. They're like difficulty levels which are unlocked by completing. 
In those campaigns will be challenges like household-based things (cooking eggs, feeding animals, cleening the table or fleeing from the vacuum cleaner), 
or classics like time-based ones and head-to-head challenges where you compete with a special enemy like a fly or so.
So ideas regarding to those topics would be great. I'd like to open an idea-pool in this thread.

The cars are fixed to the missions (challenges) and match with the theme. E.g. where you have to push things around you'll have a heavier car. Speed-based missions will then of course have fast and unstable cars.
The cars should look kinda cute. The wheels should be big and the cars rather short. Just like Micro-Machines. It's best to have them under 500 polies, cause they won't be really big on screen and we really don't want to make an AA-Game. Just simple but detailed, if you know what I mean.
Consider M-B as kind of a mini-game. Nothing to big, nothing to small. Just like Angry Birds. And with Multiplayer. BTW, after completing a level you'll get a 3-star-rating. 

I know this game can be done rather quick. As I said, the kitchen took me 3 to 4 days. Further environments will be faster then, because I'd just have to copy the controlling elements. I've learned how to use blender can now work with it with rather few errors. There won't be much time to fix bugs. So I'm confident with that.

So.. what else to say? Any ideas? What do you think about the concept?

Was planst du denn für eine Ansicht? Micromachines ist ja eher eine Draufsicht während man bei Re-Volt mitten drin ist.

Eine dynamische Draufsicht (dreht sich mit dem Auto), eine fixierte Draufsicht und eine Verfolgerkamera wie bei Re-Volt.
