Men of War: Vietnam is a new game in the critically acclaimed series. Two new, story-driven campaigns let you taste the explosive mix of the jungle, Hueys and rock-n-roll in early 1968.
in my opinion this is a brilliant concept also a bold move to add the vietnam war era RTS, if you are a fan of the vietnam war this is definetly the game for you..
unfortunately it seems that 1C is rushing the release of this game, there's still a lot of potential that could be featured in the game itself yet only a fraction of selection between maps, units, weapons and especially vehicles and that's quite a disappointment for me as a mission creator, to make it even worse they didn't include the GEM Editor in the game itself (although they did in a newer patch of the game) but to me this shows that this game is meant to ONLY be played also is just an experimental game to review on whether people love the new vietnam concept or not.
sadly this game is not as successful as it should have
to sum it all up.. Quality over Quantity
I got this game on sale so it wasn't that much of a loss. I feel this game is large downgrade from men of war 1. The amount of new content is disturbingly low, especially in the vehicular category. I know tank combat wasn't a big part of the Vietnam war, but they could've at least added more vehicles for players to screw around in the editor with. The campaign missions are very challenging and involve way too much sneaking. The bonus mission dlc is alright, but I'm currently stuck on the 3rd scenario.
