This game aims to revive nostalgic moments for good old RPG fanatics (such as Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 3...). There are still a lot of retro gamers out there! We focus on getting the attention of new gamers by making some innovations as well. Our game has no game over screen; once the hero dies, his soul is sent to the underworld, to meet the Soul Giver. At this point, it is possible to re-embody a new body (therefore several choices of classes: Warrior, Assassin, Mage, Hunter ...). In addition, once a character masters a technique, it is learned permanently in the mind of the hero. It is therefore possible to transfer a warrior's ability to a magician. This leads toward interesting gameplay combinations.

- Dark, mysterious and ever-changing storyline
- Unique class & death system
- High replay value.
- Various treasure hunting.

Kijuta, I hear you... I think the worst of all is those things called "books". All those bastards use pencils and papers made by someone else, to create stories that are like all the others...there is humans and they do verbs... WTF!
I really love the game so far!
The musics are awesome and I like the death systen, it's very cool. Of course it is an rpg maker game, but a really really good one. I have seen a few bad games made with the same engine, but Memories of a Vagabond is solid. It doesn't beat Chrono Trigger but I had a similar feeling when I played it.
I am giving it a 8.5 out of 10. I hope to see more games like this one!

Oh wait i only enjoy a retro game made by someone that actually makes an effort to make the game.. It's obnoxious how many people use a corny RPG maker and expect to be considered an actual developer... It's disheartening seeing how many shallow "wannabe's" do this on desura. Specially considering they use the big names as if that alone makes them adequate enough to the professional's when you're not REMOTELY near that, what soooo ever. and yes if you claim it will bring "nostalgic moments" you're claiming it CAN be as good as those games.. WHEW... that's the end of my rant.. that is untill i see the next person that uses an rpg maker and tries to claim that it's on par with classic games that grew the gaming industry to where it is today.. what a joke..
i couldn't care less if my grammar isn't perfect, i said the truth nothing more or less(obviously my opinion about the story... is an opinion)... end of story..
I always loved the golden sun games, this game looks very similar to it. Seems really awesome!
