A new gaming universe that will be powered by the modding community, built for the Oculus Rift from the ground up, and integrated with blockchain technology similar to Bitcoin to power its player driven economy.
The game features a retro 8-bit and SNES inspired art style powered by MEK Entertainment’s new ray-tracing, voxel graphics engine. The game’s multiverse will contain vast procedural landscapes and user scriptable servers.

Whilst little information about the game itself came with the announcement trailer.
A recent interview with one of the developers got us all excited, when they discussed how modders would be key in creating the games universe.
With the game being built around crypto-currency, they are creating a living breathing market place giving possible real world value to the items and worlds people create, this new MMO promises more value in return for your hours invested, playing the game or in this case creating content.
MEK-Entertainment wrote: Wouldn’t it be great if you could convert your gear on the market to a universal, decentralized currency, and use that to buy stuff in a completely different game?
The interview covers some details on the power of "MEK"'s powerful voxel engine and how their choice of artstyle was considered with modding teams in mind.
We can't wait for more details on how the community will create this new universe, if Minecraft and its community is anything to go by this looks to be another game changer for creators and players.
