(This is a review of the game.)

Hello, viewer, and welcome to the IndieDB page. Of Megaman Zero Rezurrection. Yes, it is meant to be spelt like that.

Now, after the catacalysmic end of Megaman Zero 4, some people would like to see what happens to Zero afterwards. So a team of fans decided to make a game, based around Zero still being alive after the end of Zero 4. May seem impossible, but they did it. They made a game based around the time between Megaman Z and ZX. And after a long period of time, we finally have a Megaman Zero fangame. And I have decided to finally show wether or not this game is worth your time. Without further ado, let's begin.

Quick warning, though. This is made during a VERY early stage of the game. If you're reading this... I dunno, a year into the future, then some, if not a LOT of things may not apply. Anyways, let's finally delve deep into the story of Zero, 100 years after Zero 4. Let's begin.

-----
Story
-----

The game follows the events of Zero 4's ending. As Zero defeats Weil, leading to Ragnarok's destruction. As he falls into the Earth, he awakes on the same cliff-side that Vent/Aile start at over at the beginning of Megaman ZX. As Zero re-awakens, he finds the guardians, the revamped version of the resistance members, under attack by Mavericks. Zero, questioning what had happened while he was gone, was shot by a Maverick from the back, dropping him deep into the forest. This leads to Zero finding Colbor, who apparently has his buster. As he hands Zero back his buster with his dying breath, the rest of the game ensues. With Zero running into familiar faces.

... But this is chapter 1. That's right, there are multiple chapters in this game! 4, to be exact. And, honestly speaking, I love this story. Whole-heartedly. I like Colbor being known as a brave warrior, willing to always go first. I love that there are more guardian members to come, I love that Zero is still as serious as usual, I love Dr. Walker, and I love. Absolutely LOVE. The great story that is to be planned for the future.

But there are nitpicks about it here and there. Such as Cerveau being pronounced as Cer-vU instead of Cer-vow. Either way, still gets me hyped for the real release of the game, that I can safely say, will be the most hyped game, I will ever play.

Gameplay

The game, for a PC game, is actually alright. If you're fine with having to cross your arms, that is. See, as It stands, there is no real way to change movement controls, which really got me bugged, insce I am used to this setup for playing Megaman games on the PC:

W for up
S for down
A for left
D for right
F for shooting
G for dashing
H to jump
R to change my weapon, from primary to secondary
X for Hyperburst, which I never use, by the way.
And Z for the Giga attack.
Oh, and Q & E for weapon changing as X.

That is how I normally play my Megaman games, but since it is stuck mapped to the Arrow Keys, I have to set all this up, but cross my arms. It feels bad, man.

This doesn't ruin the game for me, by any means. In fact, I just had to cross my arms, that's all.

Going back on topic, the game controls REALLY well. It truly feels like a real MMZ title. Except... THE SCREEN CRUNCH IS GONE! THANK GOODNESS! Yes. The game properly has a big screen. Bosses are cool, too. While Lunaedge and Dragoon make a return, Thunder Spino makes a nice entry to the game. And, by far, is the hardest casual boss. And by casual boss, I mean in comparison to the other two bosses.

As for the level design, it's kinda iffy for me. While Dragoon's and Spino's stages are wonderful, Lunaegde's stage is just... Eh. It's just average. Any level that hampers my mobility is a no-no. I just don't find Lunaedge's stage as good as the other two stages. I think it's because the mid-stage boss spoiled the experience for me, due to me only being able to beat him with the Giga attack. But aside from that, the level design is very good, in my opinion.

With that said, the amount of HP-ups that are currently here is surprisingly easy to find, if you know how to look for them. Subtanks make a return in this game, like they did for the past... 12 games? Counting X, of course. With that said, they're a bit harder to find. Not gonna spoil anything, just saying.

Anyways, the level design is overall really nice. It's wonderful. It is just SO. GOOD. Seriously, the attention of detail is ABOVE. THE. ROOF. Zero's new armor, X's new armor, Vile's new look, and the different levels. It. Is. AMAZING.

Overall, the game isn't perfect. But no game is. I just need to say that it is ALMOST perfect. For a demo, it is SOOOO. FUUUUUUUUN. Seriously, try it out for yourself. I give this game, 4.7 stars out of 5.

The images look rather interesting. A bit choppy, but definitely interesting.

I'd be curious to see how this turns out.
