Pretty cool game! A bit hard even on the easiest level. The first two times, I got raped by the dinosaurs and the third time I managed to kill one with a sword I found but then it broke and another dino killed me. It was pretty sweet with head-bobbing and full body awareness. The models could use some work and the sword was pretty fat and took up a lot of the screen.
Works fine so far here on my linux box. I think a mini map would be nice, the labyrinth is very confusing :D
Thanks for trying it on linux! I was a little worried about it... I didn't specify the SDL dependency in the readme.
I made the crossroads distinctive to make the maps unnecessary and hopping that it would be helpful.
I'm eager for the next version!
I like how detailed the game is, I didn't notice at first that the sky moves, or that you leave marks on the walls when you accidentally hit them with a sword. Also the holding the mouse button to drop the swords really changes the game, cause if there are still dinos wandering around the maze when you get the treasure it's a huge risk taking the treasure cause if you run into one you can't fight it at all, but if you take the time to put swords in strategic positions between the treasure and the exit then it gets a lot safer, actually you might think about making it so more dinos show up just to force people to think about these things
ah! whoops, I meant this reply to be up above in reply to the reply to my comment
i played it one more time... ok.. you shouldn't add a mini map ;D
Just tried it, pretty nice! Although some more gameplay elements would be nice in addition to swords and monsters.
Thanks for playing it! I have planed to add traps around the maze, I should be getting to it now :)
I was thinking of other kind of items, like a one-use bomb, which could kill a monster if timed right.
Anyway, good job!
