Journey into the gritty and not particularly pleasant world of Max Payne. This third person action game features a strong storyline and an altogether interesting antihero. Max Payne is a gritty journey to the present day New York City during the worst winter blizzard in a century. The thriller pulp story keeps the players guessing right on till the end. The game shoots from the lowest slum pits to the greatest skyscraper heights, leaving behind a trail of corpses, splatters of blood, and empty brass rolling on the floor.

Max Payne@University
This mod was acutally modeled after a real university and a story played around it! It makes use of a few other mods like Kung Fu 3 Deluxe Engine (by Kenneth Yeung, MrUniq) and the Enemy Kung Fu (by Ghasp) engine to round (house kick) out the mod.
The Family
The Family is a truly unique modding experience, as it follows the story of the young gangster Tony in an entire black and white film noir-ish world of the 1930's mafia era.

like redviper2321 said, is it possible to play MP1 mods on MP2, because i for one would love to see the trusty Katana mod played with better graphics...can it be done?????
I heard that it is possible to convert a MP1 mod so that you can play it on MP2. I would greatly appreciate it if you could answer the following:

Great game. And it supports mods well. what mod to really try out is the katana TC mod.
I remember when i first got this game... finished it in about nine hours... then i got the second one about two years l8er... finished that in seven hours.... none the less MAX PAYNE ROCKS!!!
I just got it, I've spent the last 3 days playing it, it's great! Sometimes I thought it was too hard (yeah, enemies with shotgun are a pain in the max :P), but it was just a part of the game.
Anyway, it's one of the coolest games I've ever played... nice weapons, sweet physics, and... Bullet Time! Yeah! It owns!
And I shouldn't forget to say that... the story rocks!
This game is both a blessing and a curse: it was a great game, but it spawned a lot of "me too" games like Enter The Matrix.
