Hello everyone! Today we release beta version of the mod. You can download it here.
In the mod, you can play as Dark Wizard, Slayer, Steel Samurai and 2 versions of Blade on Max Payne 2 levels or 12 completely new ones created for this mod. Unpack the archive to your game folder, launch the game and select VampireSlayer_2_0_beta in the mod selection menu. To play you need to select the character from the menu and the level. To use special moves of a character you need to select a "Special moves" weapon. To make a special move you need to press movement buttons to one of 8 directions and press shootdodge button, also there are wallmoves (you need to jump forward on the wall for it), melee moves (select melee weapon and press melee attack button) and some characters have crouch moves (press crouch) . In the archive you can also find the script (story of the mod) and an unfinished version of the prologue video. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the mod: Hitman, Andersen, all others who helped, all the actors who actually recorded their voice, i'm sorry i didn't use them.
As to why beta, and why now, and what happened? Beta because nothing has been done for more than a year. Now because i felt that we need to release everything that has been done, so i gathered everything, fixed a few bugs, added a few things like crossbow and a fire grenade and off we go:)
So what happened? Well pretty much life happened, interests change, hobbys too. The mod is dead now and it will not be finished.
I'm sorry that you had to wait for so long for this, and in the end you've got just the beta, but i really hope you'll enjoy it. Happy playing :)

Cool game but i liked first game more for its story.
For me Max Payne 1 was a bit scary with the dead baby.... :(

Ranger366 people said that of Max Payne 2 aswell when it came out lol lets wait and try it before saying its diffrent ok he looks diffrent [just as with max payne 2] and the setting is diffrent but still give it a change plx its Max Payne where talking about here!! =P

Max Payne 2 has great graphics. The lighting, reflections and other effects (decals,particles,etc.) are really good. The level design is also detailed, realistic and interesting. However, the levels are quite linear, but that's a part of the game's style. High interactivity level is also an extremely good feature. I think bullet time and graphic novels are also things that make this game good and original.

when you start the game, in the option windows that open, you can select the mod at the bottom case
put it in the Max Payne 2 folder.
