Master of Tactics is a 4X Space Turn Based Strategy Game. It has a tactical combat system making the game heavy on strategy with a deep technology tree. It is also light on micro management! Master of Tactics is set in the future, just after the discovery of interstellar space travel and involves a race to explore the galaxy, colonise new worlds, and control the galaxy's strategic resources. Features: Custom Craft Design, Tactical Battle System, Strategic Resources, Diplomacy (espionage, sabotage, trading) and Random Galaxy Generation.

Once you have researched every thing you keep getting a black screen blocking your main view and have to keep clicking on the menu every turn to get ride of it for the turn on windows xp.

I also suggest when we get better weapons it replaces the old ones on the add to screen to help shrink the list on high research levels and helps us to know what to upgrade on the planet with out checking the tab every time like shields do.

Also some tech description is so long that it goes right off the screen.

You also may want to put a link on the game it self to your site for those who find the game in a way other then this site to find there way here.

Thanks for your feedback.

1 - The research window bug is now fixed and will be released in version 1.05.
2 - Craft Design Window requires obsolete technologies to use spare space occasionally. I think maybe a check box to hide obsolete technologies would be more appropriate.
3 - Do you have details of what technologies on what screens have formatting issues? Are you using version 1.00?

yep
my settings for resolution are 1024 by 768
weapons:
replica beam (goes to very edge as example of length)
damage bolts goes past
time warp beam goes past

special:
tactical command center goes past

also in version 1.4 i noticed when i had 1 single fleet moving i saved the game then the next day came back and the fleet vanished
when upgrading a planet weapons can make it hard to know what upgrades to what when it lists all of them.

also on planets you can produce for say 2 of the missile 40s but when you save the game and reload it there is only 1

also the hostile that are randomly placed once you destroy all of them one of the planets they was on still spawns them for example
i had colonized all the planets in the system they was on but it still spawned one and it fly to my main planets then instead of attacking it vanished once it got there
i though it was a hostile npc attacking.

also for weapons on craft you have have it sort with a drop menu for like 1-3 tech level then another for 4-6 ext like you do with the main catgorys that will decrease the size or by weapon type to show players what normaly upgrades in to what and a mis for ones that dont upgrade

1 - I have located the technology description formatting errors. It is the tool tip descriptions that are too long. This has been fixed and will be released in version 1.05.
2 - I have located your formatting issue on the Craft Design Screen. If you have discovered all technologies and have the minimum resolution supported (1024x768) the list of available technologies flows of the bottom of the screen. I have fixed this by adding a scroll bar to this panel when it gets large and the fix will be released in version 1.05.
3 - Disappearing craft and projects. Although the game has an extensive automated test suite that automatically tests the engine (gameplay), it is still possible to miss things. I investigated a missing project a few weeks ago and it was found to be sabotage and the gamer had missed the line in the message window. If you have identified a bug, I need to be able to reproduce it. Try loading the autosave file (which is at most 10 turns old or the backup save file which is between 10 and 20 turns old) and attempt to reproduce the problem. If you can reproduce the problem then please send me the save file with a description of the issue.

it was over 50 turns ago when making units with tech maxed and the tech screen problem i spam turns away till all ships are made then attack with them ill let you know if i have the problem again

I have an issue that sometimes the project screen will pop up after a turn, but the project isn't completed yet, it still has more turns? Shouldn't that only pop up once it has completed?

The Ecology Finished and Factories Finished notifications also open the Solar System Window - assuming they are not in use - yes the Solar System window should only open when a planet has no project (not quite the same thing as when a project is complete but close enough).

If you can re-produce the problem and send me a save file with instructions, I shall fix it or give you an explanation. Email support at masteroftacticsgame web site (sorry but if I actually type an email address anywhere I get spammed!)
