Marathon 2: Durandal was the first sequel in the Marathon series of science fiction first-person shooter computer games from Bungie Software. It was released on November 24, 1995. The game is mostly set on the fictional planet of Lh'owon, homeworld of the S'pht, and once again the player takes the role of a Security Officer from the Marathon.

Changelog
BASIC CHANGES
- Deathmatch opponents are now more difficult
- Weapons were rebalanced in power
- Some bugs and typos fixed
DETAILED CHANGES
- Removed all effects from 'bullet time' (not used in Marathon//Max)
- Bot dodges replaced with strafing
- All hitstun animations set to minimum animation time
- Bots will now auto-reload without an animation if shot to prevent a reload loop
- Increased fusion primary fire from 30 to 45 damage
- Increased minimum rocket damage from 10 to 40
- Increased rocket hotspot radius from 1 to 2.5 meters
- Lowered rocket splash radius from 6 to 5 meters
- Increased corpse-flinging effects of rockets
- Changed "End-of-game Carnage Report" to "Postgame Carnage Report"
- Extremity hits no longer deal less damage (headshots are still +50%)
- Swapped the color of the Magnum and Assault Rifle ammo boxes
- Increased the ragdoll timeout to prevent animations from freezing during long falls
- Fixed an issue with the shotguns not firing on medium and low projectile settings
