Malevolence: The Sword of Ahkranox is an indie game with the intent to recreate the amazing turn-based, first person RPGs from the golden age of PC gaming using modern game engine technology. Rich classics such as the Might & Magic series, Eye of the Beholder and the like have inspired this new title which, when finished will put its players into a literally infinite fantasy world filled with procedurally generated content. The Sword of Ahkranox isn't trying to compete with the larger, professionally developed RPG titles out there, but instead our aim is to fill a large gap that we believe has existed in game technology since the mid-nineties. It is definitely a must-have for all enthusiasts of the quintessential RPG. The game's procedural engine can generate an infinite number of weapons, items, spells, monsters, dungeons, cities, countryside and even dialogue, allowing the player to explore the game with no end and no reason to stop.

In Malevolence: The Sword of Ahkranox, when you select your player, you will be able to select the voice that your player has throughout the game. There are 5 male and 5 female voice options to choose from. Benjamin Irvine, the newest member of the team, has just finished providing the 5th male voice option. Here's a video showing off a bit of it!

The character that he plays is a little... Unhinged... A little crazy... With a big thirst for the blood of his foes! It was lots of fun to record with him and we look forward to recording with him again!

Does not look bad at all, especially the fighting. :)

You should not use gradients in the health/mana/etc. bars in my opinion though. You cannot really see how close to dead you are without reading the numbers... ;)

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

@ScaniX, I can see what you mean about the gradients, but those are just background images, not stat bars :) only the numbers are indicative of the stats

Ah, I see. Maybe it is just me, but I find it irritating, because I expect the bar to represent the value. This would be a little less the case if the gradient would be vertical. But that is just my point of view. :)

Looks interesting. Reminds me of those very old classic RPGs.
