Picked up a few days ago as the game really reminds me of Sup Com and TA and i like so far, a lot of scope for a little indie game and i hope you get it on Greenlight soon and get some serious sales :)
The thing that has been bugging the hell out of me though while i play is that my units when in the attack stance move too far away from where i placed them to find targets to attack. For example i way point my production out towards the enemy base and each unit produced will default to the attack stance with no way i can find to have units produced out of a particular building to default to a defend stance.
So i have my units forming up out on the map over towards the enemy while i am busy building else where and I look back to check on my group of units and half of them decided to wander way over to the enemy base, not good :(
The logical thing you say would be to form this group further away from the enemy to avoid this but there attack/roam behavior as is makes it so you have to baby sit a bit too much i feel.
Same thing with the patrol stance, air units are terrible for this, the units wander to far of course to go and attack. Is there a way to reduce the radius a unit will move to engage while in these stances without having to manually put them all in the defense stance, which wont solve this issue anyway with the patrol stance?

There is no way to reduce the auto-attack radius, it is a tough thing to set as in some instances you will look at a unit and be like "why isn't he attacking him, hes right there!" and other instances you will be like "why is he attacking him, that guy is too far away". It would be easy to make the setting changeable at least in the settings file, or better perhaps be able to automatically set a unit to defend after it is created.

BTW currently units auto attack within 6 tiles (288 pixels), or they use their view radius if its longer.

Thanks for the response, i take it your a one of the devs?
If the auto attack radius could be tweakable in the options file and units produced could be set to defend or attack would improve my experience of the game beyond words to be honest.
Its a nice game for sure, its got the TA feel as i have said which is awesome but i find it too annoying to play much at the moment with units wandering of on there own suicide missions, too much baby sitting.
