LTKTBM provides 3 levels of game play, which are all as different as they are similar'
Firstly, simple deathmatch; everyone for themselves, kill as quickly and as frequently as possible, and take pride in getting your name at the top of the scoreboard'
Secondly, Teamplay; Group carnage to the extreme, the fast paced, wipe them out first game type that AQ2 made famous' Simply select your side and armoury and let the killing commence' Group performance is the goal here, but individual performance still plays a large part'
Thirdly, new with LTKTBM, Movie script; difficult to describe as an individual game type, Movie script is more like teamplay+, providing variability and script twists galore' Movie script provides a more organised teamplay type utilising LTKTBM’s AI to provide ‘all action’ characters to interact with in a group basis, where each ‘gametype’ is as individual as the level itself'

LTKTBM also adds some extra abilities to your AQ2 arsenal:
The spotlight: Gone are the days when dark multiplayer maps are more of a nightmare than atmospheric, the spotlight not only allows you to find your way in the dark, but can also be a valuable method of communicating with your team' The spotlight comes automatically attached to the MP5, M3 assault shotgun, and M4 assault weapons

The sword: Enter the realms of the true elite with this powerful hand to hand combat weapon' Deflect enemies shots and cut the down to size before kicking them to their death' The sword comes as a weapon choice in teamplay/movie script, or as a default secondary weapon in deathmatch'

By general popular demand, and obvious good sense, LTKTBM Lite 1.9.0.25 is now available to download from modDB (and various other places). This is still a full stand alone release, in the sense that all AQ2 servers, player models, etc, and LTKTBM related stuff will still work with it. but just includes one map (and the new high res textures for it) and one player model in the actual install. meaning the total installer weighs in at just 13MB.

mSparks says: Go download NOW!!

As stated on the actual download, the release will allow you to create new routes, and I will grant access to the full (53MB downloader, new routes and other projects I am working on) installer for any decent submissions of any of the other 300+ AQ2 maps we dont yet have single player routes for. Textures and other content is also negotiable. Alternatively, donations of £5 via the site will give you the same access.

mSparks says: Have fun and play nice

but you should take off the cs models

The player models from AQ2 date back to the late 90's, and sure their not the best of player models (mostely due to the limitations of the MD2 format) although, other than the fact some were made by the gy who then went on to make CS thats where the similarities end.

Instead of critising why dont you take some time to look at the project history, then maybee work with us to make 1 or two player models I can use with the ragdol physics code to bring what you ask for....

Just for clarification for the CS guys.

This is not a copy of or the equivalent of CS. This is the grand father of CS, or at very least the father of CS?

Action Quake 2 has been around for about 8 years, and was part of the inspiration for CS.
?Gooseman? was a member of the A-Team and did the weapon models for AQ2 before CS was even a passing thought in his mind.

mSparks?s mod is a highly modified stand alone version of AQ2.
Some very fine work indeed. But I?m still playing 1.7, I?m sure 1.9 is even better.

Back on the subject of the mandatory ?donation.?
Not going to happen.

Now if you had a free download, and a separate section for donation. Yeah, I?d be happy to send a few bucks. But not if it?s going to be mandatory for me to do that just to even check it out.

Sorry that?s just the way I feel.

In any case, I wish you luck man.

Dont expect many people to react well to the fact that you are asking us to pay for the equivilant of CS, which might I remind you is still free.

You want people to *donate* ?20 now? You have to be shitting me... That's $38 USD...

I respect the work you've done and everything but seriously dude. I'm not paying $5 for a mod that's otherwise freely available; the same mod I've been playing for 7 years... And I don't think the A-Team charged for it...

Pretty water be damned...

You can keep it?

It reqiures to to donate 15 euro's to download from the site. It's another way of charging for a game that runs on a free stand alone engine. Which could be considured illegal since they don't own the rights to the engine.
