This is one of the best VN hybrids you can play, if not the best (though that would be ex-aequo with Long Live The Queen). Still, it has a few quirks. The good: * It's looooooong. will you be doing a sale at the time the expansion gets released? because that would be awesome
Don't know yet, but will think about it!
Why can't I use my savegame from the demo after I updated to the full version? Is there any trick to restore it? :(
Look at the versions displayed in the upper left corner of the main menu when you start the demo and when you start the full version. If they are much different it might be the problem.
I would get an "AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'Trouble'" when trying to load the last save game in the full version.
My demo was 1.1y and the version installed through desura was 1.0b.
To solve this, I downloaded LorenRPGFull.tar.bz2 (1.1v) from desura and then proceeded with the following steps:

Try this at your own risk! Make backups of all files! Quit the desura application before attempting this!
These are not official instructions. You have been warned.
0) open a terminal or log in on the Linux console to type the following commands
1) cd <.....desura-location>/common/
2) tar xjf <.....download-location>/LorenRPGFull.tar.bz2
# use "tar xjvf" if you want see a message with each file name as it gets unpacked
3) ps ax | grep desura | grep -v grep
# !! make sure that this does not show you any running process!
# If it does desura might still be running with an icon in your notification area,
# in which case try right clicking and choose "Exit"
4) mv loren-the-amazon-princess/ loren-the-amazon-princess.BACKUP/
# we want to keep the original just in case...
5) mv LorenRPG-linux-x86/ loren-the-amazon-princess/
# now we switch the downloaded version in ....
6) cp loren-the-amazon-princess.BACKUP/desura_launch_Play.sh loren-the-amazon-princess/
# ... and restore the way for desura to launch this
7) Start desura and try to launch the game and load the save game

Any idea what is about the expansion? Will we get that too on Desura?
No clue, I submitted the expansion already, but they need to approve it first! :)
I think if you download it from my site, it should work fine indeed, maybe try that :)
Oh well, I already managed to download it from the Desura site through an external browser, since the client didn't cooperate. Replacing the files manually worked, but somehow it changed the default name of the savegame folder, so I had to move the savegames from the old folder to the new one too.
Well, problem solved anyway. :) Now I'm only waiting for you to release the expansion here. ;)
