Is there a reason why updates to the game aren't being posted to Desura? This game and Planet Stronghold have newer versions than what's on Desura so to get them we get told to download the demo from your site and install over top of the Desura install but that kind of defeats the purpose of having games on a client.

Sorry, it's that has become a pain to keep it updated both on my site and here (because I use other system on my site and not full version download), and considering the incredibly low sales I'm getting here, is not really worth my time...
Anyway, will try to update both games now (Loren's expansion is still not approved by mods so I gave up on that one).

Are you gonna have a 50% off sale on your website. I am not gonna spend any money here on desura for a not updated game no matter what the price is and no expansion. I and many others are not gonna spend 25$ plus 10$ for the expansion for an indie game off of your website either. It's a heavy pricetag for sure. Even for it to be on sale at 75% off you still make alot of money. please advise.

I am running a sale with 40% off using the coupon "EASTER" on my site too.
But is not like this version is "ancient", is just slightly outdated :) the amount of content is the same.

But we're not getting bug fixes, typo corrections, speed optimizations and other improvements in those updates. I read the change logs on your forum and while it's true there's really no significant new content, there are fixes and improvements which I think are important.

I'd also like to add that I have a large collection of digital games. Having client based automatic updates is a huge convenience for me. It means no matter what I can just load up Steam and Desura and download that game and know I will always have the latest version with any fixes and improvements instead of having to go all over the place to constantly check for updates for every game I have installed (and I have hundreds, literally).

When I see updates it also makes me want to check out a game that maybe I haven't played or thought about in a while to see what has changed. If I don't get the updates from the client then I don't know when most of my games have updates.

I understand your position as a developer that the sales aren't great here. I wish the situation were different but it is what it is. However as a potential customer who at this point vastly prefers to have my games organized and updated for me in a client that doesn't put me in a great position. It's a shame because I waited so long for a sale for this game too.

I would love to have this game on Steam as I am sure you would as well but seeing as the Greenlight voting club tends to be against certain types of more niche games it's probably no going to happen so for me Desura is really the next best thing.

Hi, I bought the expansion from your website (since I've already got the Full version without it on here)
I enter my email like it asks me to do when I start the game to get the expansion, and it tells me it cant connect. Turn off firewall and avast and still cant connect (win7) what can I do next?

It should work, but you need to get the updated demo from my website :) version 1.2 to be more accurate.

Darn it! I missed the sale. I hope there is another one at some point and that I actually notice it this time.

Also what the heck is taking so long with the expansion? Come on now Desura just post it already.

This is one of the best VN hybrids you can play, if not the best (though that would be ex-aequo with Long Live The Queen). Still, it has a few quirks. The good: * It's looooooong. If you're into story-driven, "filled to the brim with dialogue" games, be they RPG or visual novels, no need to read any further: buy it. * The story's great. As cliché as they come at times, but it works wonders. * The characters are great, and as far as I'm concerned, memorable. The writer has put great care and effort…
