Set in the immediate aftermath of the zombie apocalypse, Left 4 Dead's survival co-op mode lets up to four players blast a path through the swarming zombie hordes and terrifying mutant monsters. New technology dubbed the "AI Director" is used to generate a unique gameplay experience every time you play. The Director tailors the frequency and ferocity of the zombie attacks to your performance, putting you in the middle of a fast-paced, but not overwhelming, Hollywood horror movie.

The Source Filmmaker (SFM) is the movie-making tool built and used by the staff at Valve to make movies inside the Source game engine. Because the SFM uses the same assets as the game, anything that exists in the game can be used in the movie, and vice versa. By utilizing the hardware rendering power of a modern gaming PC, the SFM allows storytellers to work in a what-you-see-is-what-you-get environment so they can iterate in the context of what it will feel like for the final audience.
To celebrate the announcement of the SFM, They've also released "Meet the Pyro", the ninth installment in the "Meet the Team" series. Like all of Their animated shorts, They made it using the SFM.

Does ANYONE at valve know what the hell iron-sights are?
It's almost 2010 and to have an FPS without them is ludicrous.

worst game ever. thankfully this game dont work on my pc(yet)
can't wait for L4D2 to come out. it is going to rock! in gameinformer, they got an e-mail saying that Valve should make Left 4 Dead 2 a download. Then gameinformer replyed to it in the magazine, saying that there is over 3 new infected, over 5 new maps, and that the people who think it should be an expansion, are just sapprised thatit was made only a year after the first. Go melee weapons!!

Over 5 new maps is nothing that's a map pack and that's what people are complaining about.
