There is also currently a update in the making which will add a tavern for the Rogue Rider Adventure mode in which you can get direction clues for the Wonders of The World:

The other rides have been also tweaked and made more intelligently. They will also wear hats and more.

The maths behind it should be all shown in the details screen. It is a bit complex though. Some world mutators can also change the calculation a bit.

(*The reason I ask is because I've seen a ride distance of about 2000 (meters?) with a score tally of around 40K and then a ride of the same length but with a score of only 20K =/ What factors (besides the obvious pick-ups) dictate what score you'll get and what has the most influence on the final score?)

Ah! I get it! It's the distance rode + (distance road x 10)... right??

If so, then the gold does not add to score, correct?

Yes and no, it is distance 409 x (10+ 1 chivalry) = 4499 + gold 3200. So gold does add to the score but there was a bug in the older version where it did break. Are you sure you have the 1.1 installed? You can see it in the main menu in the upper left corner, there it should say v1.1 ... I also tested it here and the different calculations were fine.

If there is a sequel, try making a coöp / competitive split-screen mode where two players are riding side-by-side. Or even a mode where on player rides the same horse and shoots arrows or something. The possibilities are endless!

I'm still not done with this one so I don't think about any sequel, coop would be very tricky. How about 1st player controls the front legs of the horse while the 2nd player controls the rear legs! ;)

Coöp option 1:
Vertically split screen two-player where players race / ride down the same path (paths may need to be widened ~25% and multiple simultaneous enemies implemented).

Option 2:
Two players on a one horse, with the second player using either a bow and arrow or mace / morning star (like a secondary attack) to help take down enemies and obstacles. Perhaps in this mode the horse is made heavier (two passengers) and thus cannot jump as high / far (easier offence for hard riding).

Option 3:
Same as option 1, but via LAN / online.

Option 4:
2-player versus endless mode where players ride in opposing directions and meet randomly along the path.

Would all require massive amount of changes except Option 2 (on 1 PC). Would be really just something for a sequel if that ever happens.

But don't you then also waste time in playing all those demos? Even if you buy the full versions you then usually need to play that demo part again.

I might do a demo at a later time, it is kinda tricky with the game being endless and having that story part. But currently other things are my priority anyway.

Nice to hear! Plz, check the current notes for the upcoming patch if all the bugs you encountered are listed there. Here is the updated change notes list: Tocogames.com If they should be not on there plz shoot me a PM with some details and I try to get that fixed as well.
When you die several times on the boss you will get tips. Try to hit him after he made his fire breath. There are also tweaks for the boss in the upcoming patch, check the latest news for that.
