Update 5 is finally done and it packs a lot of new stuff! Most importantly you have now a inventory in the rogue rider mode where you can manage your stuff that you can get now through the added traders as well as find in the treasures. Another important addition is food which some might suggest as the most important because without food you will of course die, while you obviously also die through too much food. In that case you will of course explode. Also new is a cinematic camera view for jousting, dieing and when you should make it somewhere without dieing. Before I get more into details here is a update video that gives you a quick look at the new stuff:

Inventory:
The inventory is now always there for you to open when you are at the world map. Just click esc or B in the case of a gamepad. In it you can manage your bought or found power ups, choose a meal to carry on the back of your horse as track food or eat a meal immediately. Important here is to keep track on the fat stats. You don't want to kill yourself in the inventory by eating too much. That would be really embarrassing!

Sometimes there is just a giant burger in a treasure but that is not to say that a giant burger is cheap (it is worth more then 10k). There is still some space in the inventory for more stuff that can be added in the future.

Traders:
On the map you will now see trader symbols above the area tiles, those show you the type of trader/shop you will encounter when you manage to complete that area. For now there are 3 types: Power Ups, Food and Diamonds. They have 3 random items to offer that can also have random discounts or higher prices. In case of the diamonds trader it is just for selling your found diamonds because obviously you can not eat diamonds and despite a nice look they are useless when not exchanged for precious gold. You can also find treasures which contain a random item, gold or diamonds. Generally they are really worth it to go for.

Food:
You will starve fairly quickly now but luckily there is a lot of food to be found. You will find the most food in the easy areas while harder areas can have no food at all scattered around. But you can also buy food of traders that you can carry with you. One of it you can then carry on the back of your horse as a emergency snack when you are about to starve to death. Make sure to always keep an eye on the fat stats of your horse and knight in the inventory. You can also see how fat your characters are just by looking at their appearance. Keep in mind that all the meat is for the knight while that other stuff is for the horse. The different food adds also different amount of fat. The giant burger for instance adds 6 fat while a steak only 1 fat. While playing you will see that food, that would add too much fat, blinks red. Eat responsibly and Bon appétit!

Cinematic Views:
The cinematic views show you your success and of course your many failures from an all new angle. When jousting successfully the cinematic view will only happen when there is enough space, so when there is no obstacle or a gap that could bring a sudden end to your victory celebration. It also quickly fades out when you strafe or jump. If you should not like it you can also turn it off in the advanced options. When dieing it will just happen when the body of your rider will fly far enough so you can see it flying in all its devastating glory. Lastly don't be scared when the horse looks determined in the camera that is just his thing. :)

Everyone is happy here, packed with a giant burger and using the unicorn rainbow bridges power up. Later they fell and then drowned. So sad.

Achievements:
There are 12 new achievements, they involve Hitler, Kim Jong-un and Santa Claus. Well, I think you will figure it all out way too fast anyway.

Other stuff:
- Added a intro! But it is only a first short version.
- The ghost rider power up has now been nerfed a little because it is so powerful. Now you slowly sink though the ground and when sunken too much you are gone but you can prevent that from happening simply by jumping to get up again.
- The second sight power up has now been changed quite a lot, it only activates when you are already very close to a obstacle but then the slowmo is slower and the strafing faster. That makes it more clear and less interrupting.
- The cannon power up now shows the size of the cannonball through the cannon getting fatter and everything close in front will be destroyed immediately when shooting.
- A very important fix is the shield power up death bug. When using a shield while a thunderbolt is hitting the ground somewhere it had always killed you. The metal of the shield and the electricity... no wait, I did not simulate that. It is fixed! :)
- Hat are now much easier to find but that is not to say that they are easy to find.

The Groupees setup file for this game completely messed my computer up. At the end of the installation process, the game attempted to add .net framework 4 but an error came up saying it was already installed. Then another message immediately appears saying that my computer will now restart, without any request for confirmation.

So all of my open programs close and the computer reboots. But as soon as my desktop reappears, the same two messages appear and my computer reboots AGAIN before it has even finished the previous reboot.

And over and over again. So now I'm stuck in an infinite reboot loop. I can't even boot into safe mode because the option isn't even there. The only option other than normal is "repair mode," which spends 15 minutes before telling me the problem can't be fixed and then the whole process starts again.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I am using win7 pro 64-bit.

Alright so I was able to get into safe mode finally, but now I don't know what file or program to look for to stop the loop. Neither Last Knight nor .net Framework 4 show up in my installed programs list (all that appears is framework 1.1 and a bunch of updates for framework 4.5), and I don't see anything in the msconfig startup or services list, either, or my startup folder. Where do I need to look to stop this?

What is the Groupees Setup you are talking about? You should have get just a Desura key. The installer does also not attempt to install framework 4 at the end, atleast not the one that I send to Desura. In any way there should never be a reason to restart or even automaticaly restart.

My guess is, if it is really .net framework that is forcing the restart, to just deinstall all framework that you have and then reinstall it or just install a new framework version from a different source over it. You could also try to repair framework. Right click and then repair on the different ones in your system programs list.

Thank you for replying. The setup file I used to install the game was retrieved from Groupees rather than Desura. Do the two services have different installers, to your knowledge?

I am away from my computer now but when I get back to it I will try some of your suggestions and report the results. I remember that the installer also ran a UDK setup as well - maybe that had something to do with it.

The specific error message I am getting is something like "A newer version of .net Framework 4 is already installed." Once I dismiss that message (which now appears every time Windows boots up), I immediately receive the "Your computer will log off in less than one minute" - 5 to 10 seconds later, it reboots.

Hi, I just have the game from Groupees bundle, and played through a while, enjoying it quite well UNTIL the BOSS "Mother Dragon".. So yeah it is a rant but I am giving up, no fun in dying over and over with unfair stuff, my advice is to patch this to 3 health, disable the almost unavoidable front attack, or set some checkpoints for health lost, in any way, to smooth the difficulty here because it is right now frustrating and game breaking as you can read my text.. Thanks! :)

Sorry to hear that. But there is some trick to it. Had you seen that hints were displayed when you are back in the saddle after you have died several times?
The front attack can always be dodged by being not near the center but I guess it could also be hard to guess when he is doing it. But generally he will try to bite you when you a near the center and make the fire breath when you are on a side. There is also the trick to it, forcing him to make his fire breath by going to a side and after that you always have the chance to hit him because then he will cough. Let me know if this is helping you.

I'm sorry as well that my rant came out so rough, it was written heated up by the chain of fail, I believe about 50 tries that got me really frustrated haha..

I did read the hints and tried my best to avoid the flames as i would go on the sides, but did not lure purposely, also thanks for telling me about the random biting workings because all I could notice was a sort of green mucus from its mouth when i could land a hit., or fail randomly from the nasty bite..

Still, my best was just not enough, I admit it is not cool of me to ask game designers to adapt their work to my liking, but this event difficulty really came as unfair to me err.. I may try some more with a relaxed, open mind and report here if i do sucess..

Also, to end on a brigther note, the game is very nice, colorful and original I think the last i played of the sort was one PSP Minis named 3,2,1 Super Crash. Thanks for the helpful support and the cheering, good luck to me then! :)

Okay. I have to take issue with this collision detection / hit box thing. How can a spider ON MY RIGHT HAND SIDE face hug me if my jousting pole is drawn WELL before we impact? Either I knock the spider out -OR- we miss each other. The only way the spider can face hug me from that position is if there is some glitch with the hit boxes. ...or the spider has his own 'time slow' item and dodges my jousting pole! <_<

This is saying nothing of how often Buckethead can double K.O. with you on your right hand side while your pole is drawn. There's definitely some bug with this aspect of the game, and I have to say, it's becoming infuriating. >.<

● Provide a ' drop item' button so that the player can jettison chest pick-ups / items they do not want. Some items (e.g., time slow and rainbow) are only effective in specific situations and can actually hinder one's vision / timing if used at the wrong time. Being effectively forced to use the first item in your stock when you pick up another causes problems and often ends runs prematurely for no fault of the players. It's only logical that items should be discardable and it would add strategy to the game while removing some of the luck factor.

I tweaked the Spider, it is now much more clear when it will face hug you. It only hides behind his arms when you will hit it now. It also turns to you now when it tries to grab your face. Double KO with the bucketheads on the other side is normal though, when you both not hit with your lances, horses/rider still can smash into each other, you have to aim better there!

The Second Sight takes time to get used to for timing jumps but other then that it is always beneficial as long as there are obstacles since you can also strafe faster while slomo is active. The Rainbow bridges can appear over gaps and small obstacles. You can simply have only 1 Power up at a time, having to manage a stock while riding would be hard with the non-stop action. You can skip the auto activated power up when picking up a 2nd by just activating the next though while it is also a strategy to use your power ups early so you always have that empty slot. If you have not upgraded the power ups yet they last pretty short so you need upgrades to make them more effective.
