We are proud to say we are almost done with the most recent update for Landlord simulator, We are hard at work to get it finished by the end of March , so everyone can really get a good feeling of being able to fix issues yourself.
We really like how everything is starting to fit together, but we are still unsure of how to do the fixing mechanic itself. We are going to try a few different methods to see which one feels better This is one of the most important aspects of the game so we want to ensure that it is something that is going to add to the game instead of taking away from it. Because a lot of time small things can make or break a game but being able to go into the homes adds that extra level.
Currently We plan to have smoke rise up from what needs to be fixed and then once you get close to it a mini game will start to fix it. This mini game currently will stay the same no matter what type of issue is going to need to be fixed. At this time we don't know rather to make it an actual mini game with running around to like find tools or such or to keep it at a simple button press.
we also have a idea to make the fixing mechanic base on a random generator in which you will have to press the right key in order to continue fixing the issue. The button will change after a random amount of time to keep it going and if the button is not being pressed the progress bar will go down.
Along with this we are currently experimenting with other ways we could arrange the issue being fixed. Ideas that are currently in the works would be a pipe connecting like system or maybe even a picture change where it would have to be in the right order to fix the issue. We are always open to suggestions of course.
But those are overdone as it is so we are going to try to find other ways that might be more fun. If you consider any ideas your self please head over here to let us know.
