Venture into Darkness

Turn out the lights, take a deep breath, and prepare yourself. Explore the depths of the immersive, atmospheric world of Kraven Manor. Uncover its secrets, solve its mystical puzzles, and face the growing threat within.

Dynamically Alter the Manor's Layout

Kraven Manor challenges the player to explore an expansive manor to discover the mysteries that lurk within its walls. The player has the power to dynamically alter the layout by interacting with a miniature scale model of the manor, located in its extravagant entryway. The player must explore the depths of the manor to find miniature models of rooms and carry them back to an increasingly elaborate puzzle. Wherever the player adds a model onto the scale model, the associated room moves and appears in real space, waiting for your arrival.

Face your Fears

With each new room comes a new revelation of the troubling past of William Kraven. Face your fears and see if you have what it takes...the doors of Kraven Manor await you.

A let's play from eGamer South Africa \:D/

I finish the game in the second part. Wow. This game is awesome. You did a wonderful job in differentiating it from all other horror games out there. It's a stellar concept with equally great execution, and I was really surprised by the quality despite it being in BETA.

You've also used the Unreal Development Kit spectacularly =)

I play a lot of horror games, almost constantly, and this has to rank in the top list! :)

This game nails the most important aspect of horror. I always say that atmosphere is the heart of horror, and you really did bring it with Kraven Manor. It's immersive, unique, intriguing and varied. The setting is great, and I have to admit you impressed me with how you made the game freaky and scary despite it often being well-lit. Awesome.

I barely can think of anything negative. Bugs are subjective, and my playing experience was completely smooth. The most I can say is that the ending is a bit vague (not the final discovery, but just before that happens). And the platforming section got a bit trippy to maneuver properly. Often the case with first person. Another thing, which is a bit of a nitpick really, but the death-screen is pretty flat, and doesn't match the horrible ways you can die. The last thing I have to say is that your sprint limit gets in the way during one of the later chase scenes, and perhaps you should adjust it for the parts that require you to run (because running from something is scary, but running out of sprint juice every few seconds when you're trying to run can be a bit annoying)

Otherwise, fantastic work mate, I'll post my second part soon :)

I'm not gonna lie, this was actually a really fun scary game. I ran into some few bugs but that didn't stop me from enjoying the hell out of it. This game actually stays true to it's horror genre unlike most games out there that are for some reason in the "horror" genre. I love the whole concept of the game/puzzles stuff, & the game looks good (It was a bit hard to believe at first lol). I was hooked & the music is just fantastic. I always keep a good ear for music & sound effects & you guys did it perfectly. I made an entire playthrough of the game, but it's a bit long, so I'll just like to show the part where I truly almost had a heart attack (I actually got paralyzed, it's some kinda thing that happens to me when I get scared for some reason lol). Thank you for the experience, really.

Hey Kasum-G! Thank you for playing and sharing your experience on YouTube! We noticed you got a chance to peek behind the walls of Kraven Manor (woops!) and skip a few sections of the game (double woops!). That is...a first, haha. We appreciate your feedback and hope you'll forgive us for the bugs and near-death experience! Thank you again, sir, and have an excellent week! -BK, Kraven Manor Developer

Is there a way to edit screen resolution out of game? I have a 1600x900 monitor, and unfortunately that's not one of the available resolution choices.

The easiest way you can do it is right click on whatever shortcut you use to run the game and under the Target field, copy/paste the below line over what's in there and keep the quotes (assuming you installed to default directory):

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Kraven Manor\Binaries\Win32\UDK.exe" -seekfreeloading -fullscreen -resx=1600 -resy=900

EDIT: Note, this may not show correctly in options screen for the time being, but it should still work.

We'll be sure to add that in for you in the next build! Thanks for checking us out and let me know if you need anything else! -BK, Kraven Manor Developer
