A cooperative survival horror experience set in a variety of nightmarish and surreal settings. Band together with your team-mates to defeat increasingly overwhelming hordes of freakish enemies and eventually - a horrifying boss.
- Solo game mode for offline play
- Watch those crucial and violent creature deaths in slomo “ZEDtime”, even in multiplayer
- 9 different monster types trying to eat your face off, armed with everything from teeth and claws, through to chainsaws, chainguns and rocket-launchers
- 12+ weapons for the players to chose from, ranging from knives and fire-axes up to pump shotguns, rifles and a flamethrower
- Add in a welder, medical tools and body armor to help the players survive
- Persistent Perks system, allowing players to convert their in-game achievements into permanent improvements to their character’s skills and abilities
- Players choose which Perks to play with, so they can best balance out a co-op team to survive the horrors
- Open, non-linear play areas: choose when and where to fight – or run; weld doors closed to try and direct the monster horde
- Full support for Steamworks features, including Steam Achievements and Friends
- Fully-configurable, allowing players to change things as simple as the difficulty level or number of creature waves, or go so far as to set up their own favorite waves of monsters
- Includes SDK for the creation of new levels and mods

How to play / Install :
SERVERPERKS OPTIONAL : YOU CAN USE YOUR NORMAL PERKS TOO
(though you will disable the Dead Space HUD theme)

1] Download the files
2] Drag contents of the zip file to : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor
3] Enter Killing Floor
4] When the download is completed you will see "Dead Space : Killing Floor" in your GameType selection
5] When you chosen the GameType, select your map
6] OPTIONAL : After the map select the mutator "Server Veterancy Handler V6" from the mutator tab
7] Start the game
OPTIONAL : After you have subscribed to ServerPerks you can edit how you wish to perk in the ServerPerks.ini file (Its a text file. Windows lists these as "configuration file"). You will find this file in :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor\System

Its crack. That's all I can say. What's not to love about a cooperative zombie genocide game, with a very good variety of weapons (everything from grenade launchers, to chainsaws, to automatic weapons), perks, and mutators? The game is very unforgiving though, and some of the perks are useless in harder difficulties. It's addictive, fun, hard, and you can have fun with 5 other people.

Such an enjoyable Co-op shooter, how come I have many more hours spent in this game than Left 4 Dead?
Oh, maybe because of the good gameplay.
Comparisons to Left 4 Dead from wikipedia:
"Even though Killing Floor was released as a total conversion mod for Unreal Tournament 2004 three years before Valve Corporation's Left 4 Dead, another survival horror first-person shooter, the retail version of the game, being released relatively close to Left 4 Dead, has drawn some inevitable comparisons. The Killing Floor developers have stated that the two games are very different.
Gamers, however, have found several subjects from which to compare the two games. For example, one such subject is the list of enemies—Left 4 Dead's Boomer, a fat, toxic-vomiting zombie that explodes with zombie-summoning goo upon death, can be considered a direct counterpart to Killing Floor's Bloat, a fat, toxic-vomiting, machete-wielding specimen that slumps into a pile of damaging goo upon death. That doesn't mean that KF is better than L4D..... Left 4 dead have a story, interessant characters, well-made weapons, deep gameplay....
well made weapons? LMAO the models and textures were not even well detailed.
kf even has an animation for the flashlight on/off. Dont get me wrong I love both, but the l4d guns should not be called "well-made"

Hardly. The "deep" gameplay in L4D consists of sitting in a corner and holding down the trigger until all the infected are dead.
And the story is just a pretext for mindless carnage, the "interessant" characters 1-dimensional stereotypes.
And the weapons, while quite fun, are just simple upgrades in a bland weapon progression
Not to say that KF is any better (except possibly the actual depth of gameplay) but L4D certainly doesn't have a leg-up on it.
This game came out before Left 4 Dead 1 and
It has more guns than Left 4 Dead 2.
Also it has more replayability than both together, and cheap as hell. A must get for zombie fans.
