Kill Fun Yeah is an online 2D platform shooter. Murder and capture your way to the top, using an ever increasing arsenal of silly weaponry and items, the powers of deflect, attract and freeze, as well as various powerups. Make your own maps, using custom made tilesets and background sprites and create your own custom player skin to make you stand out on the battlefield. The game is free to try for 3 hours with a few limitations, which, along with the time limit, are removed upon purchasing the full version.

Some of what is new in this release:

  • Added ability to spectate matches (accessible from the scoreboard).
  • Added visual indicator for when a player is typing.
  • Changed reload speed and stun duration for Zapper.
  • Changed so that deflect explosions do no damage but have increased force and radius.
  • Changed x-position for where billy rockets spawn.
  • Fixed full screen effects that were problematic on some GPUs.
  • Fixed a problem related to blood pixels making tiles flicker with OSX + Intel GPU.
  • Fixed a minor particle system memory leak.
  • Fixed a bug that would make it impossible to play certain music tracks at below 20% volume.

I've actually never heard of anyone having this particular problem before.
What kind of video card do you have and what OS are you running?

This game looks awesome and you seem pretty awesome too but 13 bucks is too much for me.
I would happily buy a 4 pack four 13 bucks so I could get my friends to play.
Also, will there be jetpacks or grapling hooks? Jetpacks really are a must for this kind of 2D shooter in my opinion. I know Soldat would have sucked without them...

The price is not likely to be dropped, but the game should only get better from here on now and will hopefully look more worth it to you down the line.
As for jetpacks, we have been talking about adding a weapon for the next release that can be used sort of like a jetpack.
A grappling hook could definitely be an interesting addition and may very well be something that we add eventually.

A gun that can be used like a jetpack and a jetpack as a standard secondary are very different things because if a jetpack is always present it adds a lot more depth to the movement in game. Also if a jet pack or grappling hook is a standard attachment it can be consiously built into level designs enhancing gameplay further.

Also assuming the jetpack gun works like the one in Cave Story your ability to fly around and shoot at the same time is reduced with a jetpack gun.

I don't think that we will ever add those things as something permanent that all players have access to at all times, but I like the idea of having things such as a jetpack as some sort of powerup so that you may use weapons simultaneously.

Yeah I figured that was the case but it was still worth a try. [sniff sniff]

Looks friggin' awesome!

In the instance that we can't find anyone online to play against, can this game be played offline against AI?

The game is currently online only.
While there may very well be single player modes eventually, this is not something that is planned for the immediate future.
