Kill Fun Yeah is an online 2D platform shooter. Murder and capture your way to the top, using an ever increasing arsenal of silly weaponry and items, the powers of deflect, attract and freeze, as well as various powerups. Make your own maps, using custom made tilesets and background sprites and create your own custom player skin to make you stand out on the battlefield. The game is free to try for 3 hours with a few limitations, which, along with the time limit, are removed upon purchasing the full version.

Some of what is new in this release:

  • Added buttons for toggling sfx and music to the ESC-screen.
  • Changed so that deflecting is done with LShift (by default) and attracting is done by simply right clicking.
  • Fixed a bug that could lead to game servers crashing when kicking a player.
  • Fixed a bug where players could throw grenades between rounds.
  • Fixed problems with the game client freezing when CPU load is too high. (most likely only affected really bogged down and/or low end machines)
  • Fixed a bug where certain game input would keep being processed between rounds.
  • Fixed a bug that would make a player keep quacking repeatedly when holding the freeze button while out of sauce.
  • Fixed so that the HUD never appears while the ESC-screen is showing.

Even if you think the game is expensive, you can play the alpha version for FREE, it's definitely worth the sign-up.
To make sure you enjoy the game, take some time to get used to the controls, and meet some of the players in the game.

Remember the game is still in alpha testing, so a lot more will be fixed, changed, and added.
Also, those of you complaining about a lack of offline mode, this is an online game, and Arctic Anteater have said that they would have an offline mode in some form or other, at a later date.

So in other words try the game, see what it's like, and if you like it, why not stay and follow the development of the game?

Yeah, with this price point it kind of misses my impulse buy mark by a bit there...

The game seems kind of fun but the price and no SP (bots of any sort) is going to make it a no buy for me.
And I really don't think that a lot of people would buy it for $25.99, $13 is already a bit of a stretch.

It's a fantastic game!
I've had little problems with Kill Fun Yeah, and can't wait to see what the next updates are going to be like, if you haven't already you should definitely check it out.
Also the price isn't that expensive, I've paid a lot more for other games, and I've played those games a lot less.

There shouldn't be any problems with getting disconnected spontaneously from the master server with the current client executable.
Make sure that you patch your game to the latest version by running it with the launcher rather than launching the client software directly.

I don't know windows isn't blocking it and I've tried the Desura download and a download from your website. I've also tried this on XP 32b and Vista 32b everytime the same problem.

Hmm that's strange. Haven't heard of anyone else having such problems with the last patch. So you are unable to connect to any of the servers? And you also have problems with getting disconnected from the master server while in the lobby? What kind of messages, if any, do you get? And what does the ping indicators for the servers look like?

The error message is: ERROR: ID_MOUSE_COORDS: Uknown player.
I took a screen shot where on the fourm is the best place to upload it because I know Desura isn't really the right place.

If you get that message I'm pretty sure that you don't have the latest client executable. Make sure that you run the game with the launcher (KFY.exe) or manually run KFY_Patcher.exe. It could possibly be the Windows Firewall that is blocking the patcher app or something like that. Do you get any error messages if you run the patcher app manually?
