Kill Fun Yeah is an online 2D platform shooter. Murder and capture your way to the top, using an ever increasing arsenal of silly weaponry and items, the powers of deflect, attract and freeze, as well as various powerups. Make your own maps, using custom made tilesets and background sprites and create your own custom player skin to make you stand out on the battlefield. The game is free to try for 3 hours with a few limitations, which, along with the time limit, are removed upon purchasing the full version.

Some of what is new in this release:

  • Added ability to spectate matches (accessible from the scoreboard).
  • Added visual indicator for when a player is typing.
  • Changed reload speed and stun duration for Zapper.
  • Changed so that deflect explosions do no damage but have increased force and radius.
  • Changed x-position for where billy rockets spawn.
  • Fixed full screen effects that were problematic on some GPUs.
  • Fixed a problem related to blood pixels making tiles flicker with OSX + Intel GPU.
  • Fixed a minor particle system memory leak.
  • Fixed a bug that would make it impossible to play certain music tracks at below 20% volume.

I'm gonna have to give this a 5 at the moment. Currently, there are no Australian servers for me to play on which means I don't have a decent way to play this game because my ping is over 400 and is unplayable. I have been able to setup my own server but left up for 2 hours and 1 person joined who left straight away. Another annoying point is that there is also currently no local multiplayer options. Because of this, map making is annoying as you have to setup a server every time you want to test the map.

I hope that some of these issues can be addressed as they are causing me to not give this game a higher score.

This is Beta, Game is still in progress and it's called beta for reason, when game is fully realised there would be probably be more players which means more servers, you gotta be patience for game to grow, i never seen anygame that was in Beta and had all servers for all regions...

I was playing the demo version and loved the game so I purchased it before my free time was up. Even though I launched the game from the Desura client it kept me playing the free version. Now that my time is up, it is not recognizing that I have made the purchase and keeps telling me to purchase the full version.
I can see the game listed in Desura and I can even see my CD key listed there matches what was in the email.
HELP!!!

So what time of the day do people usually play this? I logged in last night and there wasn't anyone on.

Or is this like a Metal Drift thing where a small handful of people made it mostly for themselves to play and the play group only meets once a week....

Right now a great majority of our users are living in Europe and to some degree America, and unfortunately I think that right now it may be hard to find good games for someone in your part of the world, especially as there are no regular servers that I'm aware of that are based outside of Europe/USA/Canada right now.
I would be great with more players from Australia, New Zealand and Asia in the future though, and hopefully there will be.
