A free-roaming squad based RPG. Focusing on open-ended gameplay features rather than a linear story. Be a trader, a thief, a rebel, a mercenary, a business owner, a doctor, a bandit... the list goes on. Aid or oppose the various factions in the world while striving for the strength and wealth necessary to simply survive in the harsh desert. Purchase and upgrade your own buildings to use as safe fortified havens when things go bad, or use them to start up a business. Train your men up from puny victims to master warriors. Carry your wounded squad mates to safety and get them all home alive.
Kenshi is an ambitious work in progress but only worth a 4 at the moment. Spamming 10's is just silly, there is a lot of unfinished and missing aspects to the game (that I'm sure will be added in time). I've purchased the game off Steam to support the developer but won't be be spending much time in the game until more features have been fleshed out and stability issues have been resolved. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the breath and depth of the final game when it is released next year.
4 points for the potential and what could be made of this game. Really I don't understand why this game is getting awarded so many 10's. Maybe when it is actually finished and if it is good, then yeah it will be deserving of it. But as of yet, it isn't worthy of the high scores it it recieving.
In it's current state, it deserves a one.
But because it's being updated and because its from one dude, it deserves a 4.
When its finally released, hopefully it will be worth a 10.
I don't see why people are just spamming 10 on this, lets be honest. in its current state, it is pretty sh*t. But we can all agree it WILL turn out great. (Don't hate me for the low rate, i'll re-review it with a high score as the game is being made. Or when its finished.)
