We’re just over three weeks away from the launch of ‘Jalopy’, an adventure game mixed with driving simulation. We had been thinking of the best way to really summarise the game and it wasn’t until we began reading comments on a selection of youtube videos that we discovered one YouTube commenter (PickyPenguin) summed up the game with the genius term CarPG (Car playing game).

The Laika 601 is essentially the core focus of all of your attributes in game. While many other games use a personal stamina/hunger/sleep system that affects the player directly. The Laika 601 deluxe needs frequent repair to ensure that it can continue its pilgrimage. Parts will begin to wear, fuel needs to be topped up and tyres can suddenly burst. If you’re not taking care of your car, it can betray you and leave you stranded at the side of the Autobahn.

While traveling, you may be able to scavenge for some spare parts to help your Laika go that extra mile. It is important that you have a working knowledge of the system under the bonnet of your car to get the most of your vehicle. Below is a list of the customisable engine components at launch of Early Access

Laika 601 Deluxe specs:
0 – 60km/h in 22.5 seconds, a top speed of 100km/h all at the economical rate of 25 mpg

Jalopy launches on the 14th of April in Early Access, check out the Steam page here: Store.steampowered.com
