A survival shooter set in Central Asia after the end of civilization.
YAY! Game developers used to forget this, but now, they are not!
I hate games where you have no feet, body, shadow... *cough*CoD*cough*
*cough*Every FPS In History *Cough*
Yeah i hate it too when in the game you are a disembodidnt hand holding a gun.
Actually a lot of FPS games now, minus CoD, have been doing this, I don't know what crap you've been playing o.O
Halo, thats the only one i can think of
FEAR and left 4 dead 1 did as well, all that aside, this looks like a well done feature!
It made me cry how there's no feet in L4D2
Chronicles of Riddick, Mirrors Edge, and Crysis come to mind, and there are some games that show your shadow, but nothing else (Quake 3, Battlefront, and I think Rainbow Six: Vegas.)
I remember fear one show body too? Or just shadow.
both, body, shadow, are shown in the first FEAR game.
Don't forget about ArmA and Crysis.
Yes, because apparently there were no FPSs before the 2000s. :/
MoH.... everyone likes to jump on cod
there was one that showed pretty much everything, the body, the shadows, everything
it's called breed
pretty cool game in some things, like, the millions of vehicles to use, the fact that if you run out of ammo you can ask your fellas for some, and in the multiplayer, every character from whatever team has it's own set of arms and body
pretty nice considering it was from the 2000's
but the game itself is rather ******
I like the idea, but I hate how you only see the legs, If you were to actually look down you would see your torso and legs.
Not if you have your gun out
and look at the other pic, you see your torso...
>>If you were to actually look down you would see your torso and legs
So what? This is a game, not life simulator )
The viewpoint of your average FPS isn't exactly attached to where your eyes are in real life (Usually it's placed a bit in front of it).
This is because, in real life, your field of view is around 140-180 degrees, instead of the default 75 of Half Life 2. This means you see less of your surrounding.
this is total win!
YES! YES! YES!
Last time i saw something like this was in crysis :P keep up the good work guys
*cough*ARMA series *cough*
Arma still blows
OP F for the win.
I hated arma i prefer flash too
ArmA is targeted to a specific audience. Maybe you are just not that audience.
maybe its because ArmA aims for RTS realism. Others unfortunately rather prefer games with science or historical fictional creation (e.g. Wolfenstein(2010)). Still enjoyable though.
Now that you're showing the full body, are you going to add hands to the Jeep's steering wheel?
Far Cry 2 for the win!
By 'Far Cry 2', I mean 'every FPS but HL2'.
And Battlefield, but they make that less noticable by restricting your sight.
And Left 4 Dead never showed your body.
left 4 dead got it, bro.. where's your mind? ;D
anyway, awesome feature and glad you'll have it in! keep it up ;)
Does this mean we'll be able to see ourselves in reflections (i.e. mirrors) as well?
Doubt it, since Source has no mirrors. You may be able to see yourself in the water, but if the developer modeled only the legs and a torso, that would look really cheesy.
Source actually does have realtime mirrors
Really? I need to see this. Can you point me to a mod or video showcasing mirrors?
All right, Source has once again found a special place in my heart.
turok has legs and dodging with ur legs
One time, i did it but still haven't done it till end. (Buggy animations etc.) If you did it can you please tell me how did you do it?
Looking great guys.
You should make it so that you cannot look directly below you, cuz you cant do that in real life. It would collide with your legs.
Yay, Legs :D
You are goin to add body shadows too... right?
