It's been now three years since I last posted something here on IndieDB. As you may understand, the game is not under development anymore. Previously, you could buy the game from Desura, but they went bankrupt, so I've decided to release the game here for free! Just go to "Files" and download!!!

Awesome!

As mentioned, the game is not under development, so the game is buggy. Nevertheless, it should run well enough and it should be FUN!!! If you want to play multiplayer, you probably need to portforward the port you want to host the server on(google it). If you can't do that, then you should use "Hamachi"(google it). It's a great way to host the server without messing with your router.

Even though I'm not developing the game anymore, I'm still interesting in hearing what you guys think about the game!!! Let me know in the comment section!

Rediscovered the first game a couple months ago and, having played it years ago on Kongregate, decided to replay it, then went down a rabbit hole of trying to find any information about the game I could, finding old YouTube videos on development builds, very interesting history.

While playing it, I rediscovered the fact that it actually got a sequel, which I forgot about till I noticed the link to its IndieDB page on the title screen (which I'd somehow missed before) and downloaded it. I'm not sure if I played the sequel back in the day, mostly since I don't remember doing so, but it feels vaguely familiar to me.

Both games are still fun to this day surprisingly, even if their graphics haven't held up as well lol

Doubt anybody will read this (last comment here was on January 13th of this year as of speaking, pretty recent but still) but I'll say that it is definitely worth a play still.

Nice job, if you can make two over-a-decade-old and decade-old games respectively still worth a play today, you've obviously done something right.

He has a twitter account (@LilleJohs) and he's posting on it (May 4th of this year is when his latest tweet was posted as of writing).
It can be confirmed that it's him cause of the twitter handle, Island Escape 2's output_log.txt file has the file path C:\Users\Johannes (twitter account uses his name, also being Johannes) from what is probably compiling the whole thing and he made a reply to a tweet about Island Escape 2 being remastered by a fan, so it's most definitely him.

(oops replied to the wrong message, hope you don't mind lol)

Hello dear LilleJohs! In my view, Island Escape 2 is a bit incomplete. I can't finish the game, I have only done 12 quests. I got the well key, but I can't sink into it. I also can't find other keys.

Hi all,
I have seen people talking about using Hamachi to create a server. And also you cant get into the well as there is a collidor blocking it (I have extracted the game and I can edit the game in unity)
This is a simple step by step guide on creating a server for you and your friends/family to play on.
1. Create a server in the game (With the port 25001)
2. Do Windows Key + R and type cmd in the box.
3. A black box should appear and type in ipconfig
4. A list of things should appear inside of the black box
5. Look for Wireless LAN Adapter OR Ethernet Adapter Ethernet and find IPv4 Address
6. Those Numbers that are next to the IPv4 Address is your PC's IP Address
7. Now for others to connect within your local network, all they need to do is Click on Multiplayer in the games menu and enter that IP Address and the port 25001.
This guide is only to create a server for people to play on within your local network (your router). In order for people outside of your local network to play, you need to port forward which is not that hard. Just look up a tutorial on YouTube on how to port forward.
