Urban Terror 4.1.1 for Windows
Aug 30, 2011 Full Version 0 commentsAn installer of Urban Terror 4.1.1 for Windows. If you use Vista, you might want to install to another location than 'Program Files (x86)'.
Urban Terror is a free multiplayer first person shooter developed by FrozenSand, that (thanks to the ioquake3-code) does not require Quake III Arena anymore. It is available for Windows, Linux and Macintosh. The current version is 4.1.1.
Urban Terror can be described as a Hollywood tactical shooter; somewhat realism based, but the motto is "fun over realism". This results in a very unique, enjoyable and addictive game.

Had the same problem on Linux Mint Debian (64)
Strangly enough running the 32bit executable (from the folder, not via Desura) instead simply worked. ;-)
Must be something to do with your system because I was able to play both the 32-Bit and the 64-Bit versions without an issues. I was even able to download a map to play on a server.
I have same problem on Arch Linux

Why's this called ioUrbanTerror? Afaik it has nothing to do with Icculus.org
ioUrbanTerror is the name of the engine Urban Terror uses. It is based on ioQuake3, with some custom changes (UrT was originally a Quake 3 mod, ioQuake3 project allowed it to go standalone).
