Interstellar Vengeance is a side scrolling based space shooter. You fly towards the right and shoot the red enemies coming towards you. Once an enemy is destroyed it drops scrap. Scraps are little grey objects that are collected with your ships tractor beam and sold for money. To win a battle you need to kill all the enemies and pick up all the scrap. This game was intended to be developed as a small project. so when it gets released it will be free and open source. This is also a bit early on in development. I don't tend to like doing images so I just made simple boxes to start off with. The game will slowly get images on everything as development goes on so as to raise the quality of the looks of the game.
This is the first official alpha download for Interstellar Vengeance and is version 1.5.
Hello everyone.
This here is a download for Interstellar Vengeance Alpha v1.5. I had finished a list of features and have decided to put up a download.
So, first off. To be able to run this game you will need the java run-time edition version 6. you can find that here: Oracle.com
Just pick your operating system and you should be fine.
While mentioning that, I should point out. This has been made and tested on windows 8, but since this is java, as long as you have that java run-time you should be able to run it. So if you download please let me know what operating system you are running and if or works or not. I plan to have support for Linux and mac, but I don't have a mac and my Linux virtual machine does not want to run lately.
now, In that download there is a zip file. In this zip file there are 2 more files. A README file that I highly recommend you read and a .jar file. This .jar file is the actual game, to be able to run this you should take it out of the .zip file. (it will still run in the .zip file, though your profiles will not save) then Just double click on the jar file and it should run.
The game does make a folder called "Profiles" where ever you run it. (this holds all the profile data) So i recommend you put the jar file in a place where you are free to make a folder and make a shortcut somewhere you want to run it from.
if you spot any bugs or think of any features, please don't hold back from telling me.
OK, that should be all the technical stuff out of the way. Thank you for reading this. I appreciate it a lot. also, thanks for downloading.
