Team debriefing

Kim
Kim (ZPSHicks)
Game Director

"Back online after a nice little paternity leave; Ellen (Ripley) has been born and I've enjoyed a few days with the family and my gaming machine (Finally completed Deus Ex and Rage (95/75)). This week has primarily been centered around fleshing out, planning and committing to our next release, inviting you guys/gals inside our first very crude Deadlock implementation.

Next up is post-process work on our immersive character controller as well as getting started on iteration 02 of the CR1 map, based on all your wonderful feedback/ideas in tune with our internal design direction.

For the love of the game!".

heks
Mikael (heks)
Lead Programmer

"Most time has been spent on job interviews, project coordination and fixing loose ends. Since we've now set a semi-realistic goal for a launch of Deadlock, I will hopefully be getting back to what I'm actually hired to do - CODE!".

Scribblehead
Jesper Andersen (Scribblehead)
Concept Artist

"I've been offline this week due to school, but i've been able to finish a couple of weapon blackouts plus a batch of moodboards so this will be a super short sitrep for me. More to come next week though, hopefully i'll be looking forward to 5 weeks of intense IM work if i have my way with things….wish me luck! :D".

"Our re-arranged office setup with Anders experiencing a mental stack overflow"

Anders
Anders (cptKickASS)
Lead Artist

"For the last two weeks I have been focusing on clearing out the last unknowns in our animation setup, and planning. I implemented a model for swaying the weapon in first person, and finalized the pipeline for first person animations.

Next week I will be looking adding sound to the character and polishing animations.

Mass Effect 2 - Done".

Jess
Jess (NecroSonic)
Level Designer

"Entry missing - SARA".
Last week MIA SITREP snippet:
"In the absence of our beloved Game Director I have been cooking up a new map that is loosely based on the gladiator arenas of Ridley Scotts Gladiator and the Spartacus TV series. It is a simple death match map that could be used for when we are ready to test out the weaponry. To mix things up a little the map consist of three interconnected arenas each with a unique layout to afford different types of fights. The map is dedicated to our good ol’ animator Ronnie Ree because of his love of the Spartacus series."

Nicolai
Nicolai (Reese)
CEO & Composer

"This has been a quick and very busy week. I've been spending time wearing my multitask hat, and been occupied with ares such as team planning (SCRUM), admin tasks, audio coding and sound design. Im really looking forward to our upcoming merge of team tasks where we join forces in regards to the multiplayer game as a whole. Did someone say Deathmatch??

On another note; Kim has named his his newborn daughter Ellen. Can someone guess the name of his cat? It's pretty obvious :)"
