The Inquisitor is a dark role-playing game. Prepare for a medieval drama with maximum style and great emphasis on details. It brings you, a medieval inquisitor, to a gloomy world full of heresy, betrayal and devilish plots. You will hunt after perpetrators of the most atrocious crimes and you will meet a lot of cunning enemies. You will find yourself in the midst of a powerful conspiracy striving to destroy even the foundations of the thousand-year old Empire.

The game follows the investigation of various crimes, and players aim to expose malefactors, gain evidence against them and to prove them guilty in court, using both the canon law and the secular law of the Empire. One of the most important laws is the Inquisitional codex which lays down the rules and principles of the inquisitional process. And it’s the codex that governs your methods and action while hunting for heretics and witches who threaten the whole Empire with their obscure plots.

Ultherst was once a peaceful, God-fearing land until the Three Scourges of God came to pass as foretold by Saint Ezekiel, one of the twelve followers of the First Prophet. First came the famine that devastated the populace. Next came the plague that added more unfortunate souls on Death’s abacus. Finally came the great rain of fire, and death fell down on sinner and innocent alike, blood flooding the streets in place of water. The people, in their desperation, turned away from the Holy Mother Church and delved deep into pagan decadence or succumbed to the temptation of the Devil. You have been charged with the office of Inquisitor. It is up to you to investigate crimes against the one true faith and root out heresy--using any and all means necessary. Inquisitor is a unique blend of action-oriented combat with a deep and involving tale of betrayal, torture, madness, and infernal damnation.

Enjoy Inquisitor and many other great games on Desura.

It certainly looks like a nicely polished game, but I'm having trouble finding some decent info about it. First of all, I don't really know what sort of an RPG we can expect here. Are we talking about a Diablo-clone or a more "true" cRPG experience. Also, are there even plans for an English release? I can barely find any English info about the game. Even the official website is completely in Czech.

If any of the developers read this, I highly advise them to post a short piece of info on this site. That way we all know what to expect of the game.
