Ah; there are the god rays...
Will any of the planets actually look different? Or will they all look like Earth, with earth trees and earth vegetation.
Check some more of the screens - there are several of mars like planets in there. The terrain engine is capable of anything - as long as you give it textures etc. to work with.
Exactly, Infinity will have a large variety of planet type.
