Not sure what people are worried about with this shot - sure it could use a little AA, but it still gives us an idea of just how cool this game is looking.

Keep up the great work!

TAXI!!!!

*prays for crazy taxi like mini-game*

it looks like the taxi's are really big and the people in the buildings are like really really little ants.

Keep in mind this is a work in progress. Yes, it's not perfect. There are tons of little problems, parameters to adjust. Things will improve over time. And keep in mind it's yet another "tech" demo: even if it looks nice, it's far, extremely far from being more than a rendering prototype.

everyone who hates the resizing of pics in Moddb without AA put your hands in the air!

(and afterwards say /agreed)

Very nice pic, I really can't see any serious issues with it

looks better than Elite!!!
big city lights would be better though, because the people in these houses must either be really small or the taxi-paceships are really huge. Something needs to be done about the scale of things. The capital ship above the city looks kinda small and perhaps capital ships should be docked over on the dome instead of hovering above it. You are really amking progress that is something one can tell for sure. There is still plenty of time till 2008, this will do great until then I predict.

I know the bright yellow paintjob is a bit misleading, but that ship is not a taxi, it's a fighter. Taxis (and pretty much all planetary personal craft) will be much smaller.

Description

Showing off the city and a few models.
Stannum's buildings, Shawn's city dome (
a draft - yeah, textures are really deformed, it
will be fixed. Same for the "metallic
grid" on the roof ), and 100 Shadix/Petrov
interceptor's loaded ( to have any idea of
the slowdown due to traffic ). Also shows HDRI and
dynamic shadows.
