I Shall Remain is an Action and Survival RPG Game. Having the story placed in an alternate future at the end of year 1948, when Nazis managed to release a deadly virus over the United States right at the end of the Second World War, allowed us proper ambiance and background for an interesting game deployment. The game is the story of two brothers and their intricate relation with the apocalyptic world rising in the leftovers of the Z0M81 Pandemic ravage.

Hows it going Desura!

Jake Way here, it's been a long journey and we're finally ready to make a kickstarter debut. We've quietly been gathering everything we need to make it happen successfully. I've attached to this article an image of our first contributor gift. It's a beautiful rendition of Michael's quest log that players can have as any kind of creative journal. It's leather and handmade! These below are prototypes. The final cuts will have 'I Shall Remain' delicately placed on the front cover. Nothing too crazy though, I personally can't stand it for instance when I get a T-Shirt that screams the company name across the front. I'm all about subtle and beautiful.

On Kickstarter we plan to raise $30,000.00. This will be enough to cover the costs of completing a multiplayer function for the game- which will make ISR an absolute blast to play and market our Steam Greenlight campaign. Currently we're 76% of the way to the Greenlight top 100 list. We're well positioned but we definitely have a fair amount of work ahead of us. (Greenlight link here: Steamcommunity.com )

Also heads up, we're currently working on a new game map that will replicate the battle of Dien Bien Phu. Similar to what the French experienced in that battle in 1954, there will be no way to win. You will struggle to survive as long as you can. The French battles in Vietnam have always fascinated me especially because many of them were carried out by the French Foreign Legion. Back in those days, the ranks were filled with tons of soldiers who were joining up to continue their military careers and to avoid the Nuremberg trials. Who were these? Former Nazis. Well before the United States had entered Vietnam, former Nazi soldiers were covering down on the defense of French interests there and fighting the Vietnamese guerrilla fighters.. that blows my mind! I can't say anything about whether or not what happened in Vietnam in those days was right but I do know that there were lots of great fighters whose lives absolutely sucked fighting in the nasty rain and mud with limited support and that they fought well.

Thank you so much for your continued support and we look forward to interacting with you here on Desura. Feel free to hit us up with any comments or questions. Many of them might be receiving a video response from our new team member Lindsey. Nothing like being able to speak to fans in person.

Live and fight hard and happy zombie hunting.
Jake

Hey Deadsy! Sorry to hear you're having problems. I also have a pretty quick system and it was lagging for long time with mine. I got rid of the lag right away though when I took out the shadows from the game. Try this and let us know how it goes!

We are sorry to hear that!
Did you try to lower down details from within the Options menu? (make sure you restart). Are you willing to share with us your machine specs (CPU, Video)?
Thanks!

CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 250, GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5700, Motherboard: Asus M4A78LT-M LE and 4gb of ddr3 ram, latest drivers on everything.

Tried to fiddle around with the settings but still having the same problems, reminds me of an old v-sync bug that used to happen in some games interface where you get mouse lag,

Thats strange, your machine should run it just fine. We tested it here on maximum details on older machines (6 years old) and it worked acceptable. Please make sure you run it full-screen to get a real measure of the performance (windowed version tend to be a lot less performance friendly)

Theres a way to edit by hand some options which are not shown into the Game UI, please open the main.ini file (is a text file) and look for the VSync line, set it to 1 and see if it makes any difference (by default should be set to 1). You can play with that and see if is something that improves the situation.
