I Shall Remain was produced by an active duty US Marine whose experiences and love for his organization echo through the game. The creators have a story that is as interesting and moving as the one created for the game. You are invited to read about it at: Ishallremain.com

Hows it going Desura!

Jake Way here, it's been a long journey and we're finally ready to make a kickstarter debut. We've quietly been gathering everything we need to make it happen successfully. I've attached to this article an image of our first contributor gift. It's a beautiful rendition of Michael's quest log that players can have as any kind of creative journal. It's leather and handmade! These below are prototypes. The final cuts will have 'I Shall Remain' delicately placed on the front cover. Nothing too crazy though, I personally can't stand it for instance when I get a T-Shirt that screams the company name across the front. I'm all about subtle and beautiful.

On Kickstarter we plan to raise $30,000.00. This will be enough to cover the costs of completing a multiplayer function for the game- which will make ISR an absolute blast to play and market our Steam Greenlight campaign. Currently we're 76% of the way to the Greenlight top 100 list. We're well positioned but we definitely have a fair amount of work ahead of us. (Greenlight link here: Steamcommunity.com )

Also heads up, we're currently working on a new game map that will replicate the battle of Dien Bien Phu. Similar to what the French experienced in that battle in 1954, there will be no way to win. You will struggle to survive as long as you can. The French battles in Vietnam have always fascinated me especially because many of them were carried out by the French Foreign Legion. Back in those days, the ranks were filled with tons of soldiers who were joining up to continue their military careers and to avoid the Nuremberg trials. Who were these? Former Nazis. Well before the United States had entered Vietnam, former Nazi soldiers were covering down on the defense of French interests there and fighting the Vietnamese guerrilla fighters.. that blows my mind! I can't say anything about whether or not what happened in Vietnam in those days was right but I do know that there were lots of great fighters whose lives absolutely sucked fighting in the nasty rain and mud with limited support and that they fought well.

Thank you so much for your continued support and we look forward to interacting with you here on Desura. Feel free to hit us up with any comments or questions. Many of them might be receiving a video response from our new team member Lindsey. Nothing like being able to speak to fans in person.

Live and fight hard and happy zombie hunting.
Jake

Hey DarkAssasin! Im afraid the full game wont be out for several weeks we have a lot to do because we have such a large map and rather complicated story we're hashing out. In the mean time we are releasing a survival map here in about ten days!

Thanks for the shout out

Hey Faith! I've made a comment to your video here: Desura.com

This links to the forum note where I've posted it. Sorry there's two clicks to get to the video. I'm going to put them in here to kickstart the forum and start up some conversation with fans there.

Just as there are many different types of humans, why would you not expect different types of zombies. The virus strain may interact in varied ways perhaps if you already had some pre-existing condition. E.g. a person who carried a strain of smallpox might have developed into a whole different variety of creature than say a perfectly healthy individual.(Not that anyone is "perfectly healthy" per se.)

This totally discounts genetically linked diseases that a virus based zombie model might interact with.

I would think that it was odd for there NOT to be different types.

Oh and thanks marine_jake for the mention in your update. Still lurking, still rooting for you guys.

One or two glitches, but still incredible! Great job, I am impressed that this is your first game!
