The second week of 2012 is coming towards an end and we’re getting ready for a massive invasion of our new live-servers by all of you out there in our community.

intelligencebulletingvol02no02 The second week of 2012 is coming towards an end and we’re getting ready for a massive invasion of our new live-servers by all of you out there in our community.

We had hoped that we could begin the next Alpha-stage, which involves inviting a huge amount of new players into our new live-servers, but unfortunately things didn’t turn out as planned. The servers were not configured right when we got them and we found some bugs we would like to fix before inviting thousands of new players in.

So the current plan is to start the next Alpha-stage next week, and begin to ramp up the number of players over the next couple of weeks.

As mentioned in the Intelligence Bulletin last week, we’ll shut down the servers outside the Play Session time-slots, so remember to be there or miss all the action! And please note, that we’ll probably also change the time for the Play Sessions compared to what they are right now!

- Players can equip weapons in their inventory to any of their characters (in corresponding slots). Equipping an item by a player’s character de-equips that item from the player’s character that has it equipped

- All server times displayed are UTC +0 timezone”

I’m still working on the chat system and this week has seen great progress:
- Implemented the Robotlegs framework in the chat system (better communication with rest of Flash project)
- Joining new channels is finished in 1st iteration, will undergo internal testing soon
- Private conversations have better handling
- Able to leave channels that are not mandatory is done
- Foundation for Creating password protected channels laid out.”
