Welcome to the twelfth “Heroes & Generals Intelligence Bulletin”. The purpose of this bulletin is to give you an insight in the development progress of Heroes & Generals and show you what each of us are working on at a weekly basis.

intelligencebulletingvol01no12 A new stable build is online with bicycles, new capture logic and a whole lot of bug- and graphics-fixes. And a major update of the Action part of the game is coming up in the near future (hopefully next week, but no promises! :-) ), where you’ll see new vehicle textures, a new friction model for the vehicles, so the feeling and response from the vehicles is better, new poses and updated animations for the weapons, and much more.

We’ve also launched our Google+ page, so hurry up and follow us there as well as on our other social sites: facebook, twitter, YouTube and IndieDB.

300 Alpha keys went out this week, and we’ll continue to send more next week.

As a last comment before continuing to Developer Blogs and Team Debriefing – We’re looking for community-members to participate in our launch-trailer. Read more about it here if you’re intrigued. And don’t worry it won’t hurt (much)… ;)

“In the first part of the week, I wrapped up the war resetting functionality. Now if the game is informed that the war has finished, it removes all commandnodes from their existing position and places them near the faction’s capital. The distribution is roughly auto-balanced in order to make sure that the forces are spread out equally for both factions.The next task I have started working on is the production logic of occupied factories.

Factories in control of a faction need to start adding their production to a “reserve” commandnode type which is under direct control of the supremecommand, and located at the factory. If not available, then the strategy logic will create such a commandnode at the factory location and start adding production to that node.”
