Some of the best classic RPGs involve character progression, quests and challenges, objectives and of course enemies to fight. Hero of Legends was inspired...
Arianna was just a normal girl until she joined the Academy. Now, 13 years later she finds herself in the midst of a great war. Embodied with fierce elemental powers of Fire, Arianna sets out to punish those who have ruined her life.
In Hero of Legends you will find that Arianna's journey will take you to a variety of places, from the mountains of the mining villages, to the depths of the secret Ice Lands. You will encounter, over 10 acts, no random battles or level grinding. Each battle will allow you to customize your deck of Legend cards to fight a battle that determines the outcome of the game...and more importantly the balance of Order and Chaos. Along the way you will encounter mini-games and challenges. In one act you may be destroying elemental plates in a Zuma style game; in another you may be furiously serving guests at a banquet to learn secret information. All along the way, you will be discovering a bundle of treasures, secrets and hidden objects.

So far I've focused on the inspiration of card games as the inspiration for the battle system of the game, but the inspiration found its way into the very story of the game as well. The entire plot of this classic "unlikely hero" story is meshed with the collection of the Legend Cards.
Imagine a world where certain individuals have extreme powers. Of course we can because most of our comic books, cartoons, and fantasy/sci-fi stories start with that very idea. In this world, those individuals are the main players in a tug-of-war between Chaos and Order. You begin the story on the cusp of what proves to end that struggle.
In the video below what you see consists of the opening storyline and gameplay footage. As you progress throughout the game you will acquire new cards from enemies and allies alike. You meet the characters that the cards represent and you take full control of their power.
