Pilot a jumping tank through a maze of underground caverns and dungeons in search of new abilities you'll need to progress deeper into the levels. Each upgrade is hidden out of reach of your tank, and can only be obtained after exploring on foot. (This game is inspired by a certain NES game which I love) SPECIAL NOTE: 2 Free keys to anyone that agrees to make a youtube video of the game!

If you've played the co-op of months past, you might have noticed the occasional odd bug here and there. Enemies wouldn't sync, sometimes two music tracks would play at once, and if you lost all your lives you might have found yourself spawning very far back.
Well, I wanted to let you know that the experience has been vastly improved. All those bugs have been fixed. Multiplayer would even occasionally crash while playing on Linux, and the source of that bug has also been uncovered and squashed.
If you haven't tried co-op out yet, you really should, it's very fun!
A New Ability
Helena the 3rd now has a new ability, which you can currently only access through the level editor, but once activated, pressing z will give you a temporary shield that absorbs all damage.
This will be used to get through the lava in stage 5, leading to the ice world of stage 6.
After that, look forward to a grappling hook being added in game in the near future!
New Worlds
Along with these new abilities. We now have a new level designer! Keith Garry is joining us, and is already honing his skills by creating some bonus levels for the game!
New Music!
Last but not least, our music composer has created new tracks for levels 3 and 4, the water and lava levels. Give them a listen! You can also check out more of his work over at Mikecharlesmusic.com

Highest Rated (5 agree) 10/10
A very nice "Remake" (Inspired a lot by old NES's Classic Blaster Master). We don't really see those a lot of games in the area as this one these days and this one owes a great 10/10

Hey guys, going to soon be putting out a fix for a lot of the multiplayer issues I've found since the patch came out.
Alright, so I've been trying to play this with my girlfriend in co-op. We're both using Windows 7. We're on the same network, which usually exempts us from port forwarding, but no matter what I do, no matter if we enter the local or external IP for the computer, when we hit "Join Game", nothing happens at all, but if we hit enter, we're tossed into a game alone, sometimes with the dummy green tank (that doesn't have a player connected), sometimes on our own.
If it's as simple as port forwarding, let me know which ports to open and I'll give it a shot. If it's something else, then...well, it isn't working.
Port 3000, as described in the article. And you've made sure the game passes through the firewall? (Add Helena.exe to the exception list) If you are on the same local network you should be able to use the local ip address though.
After rereading you're problem. You understand one person needs to be the host. So one person presses "Host Game" and the other presses "Join Game"
Yeah, of course. I meant to imply that we've switched off attempting to host. I didn't realize that there were instructions in the article, though. I had just read the read me.
Port-forwarding has changed nothing at all. Join Game still seems to do nothing, leaving the host to just sit there.
You shouldn't need to port forward for a local connection. And you've checked the firewall isn't stopping it? Past that I don't know what to tell ya. There is a small delay after you press join game, so be a little patient.
It should work, let me know if you get it figured out so I can pass the solution on to others.
One thing you can do just for a baseline litmus test. Is to start two copies of the game on one computer. Host with one, and connect to "localhost" with the other. At least make sure that works, as that would not be affected by firewalls and the like.
And if for whatever reason that does not work, please make a video of yourself trying this, and I'll point out what goes wrong.
Hah, let me know if the full version runs any better for ya.
Well, thus far the full version still crashes out one or two times on startup every so often, but once it gets running, it runs great. I might be imagining it, but it feels like it runs even smoother than the demo, and a bit faster paced action?
That's possible, the full version is optimized better than the engine running the demo. As to the crashes, try to send me what output you can and post in the forums. I've never experience them myself.
