A hack-n-slash without endless level grinding. A tower defense game with more action. A game where you don't play as an epic hero, but as a humble shoemaker who must work together with his fellow villagers to defend their home. Build and upgrade the village quickly before the attack waves start. Each building you place adds unique abilities to not only the player's character, but your fellow villagers as well. You must choose your structures wisely, as there are only a limited amount of plots to build. Each villager contributes to your coin income and provides essential help in defending the town. You must help defend against waves of monsters intent on killing everyone. Do you have what it takes to survive?

We are happy to announce that our first alpha build 5021 has been released to the testers. The feedback so far has been very positive. Things are moving very fast now and new content and features are added daily.

We are happy to announce that our first alpha build 5021 has been released to the testers. The feedback so far has been very positive. Things are moving very fast now and new content and features are added daily.

Here are some updates from the latest two builds
Build 5022 ChangeLog:

  • Added feedback ping with sound when player clicks on terrain
  • Added sound effect added for player switching to sword
  • Added cheat-key Attack NOW (END)
  • Added cheat-key Add 5,000 Coins (Keypad plus)
  • Added key for pause menu when ESC is pressed
  • Added key for screenshot (F12) Stored in &#xus;erprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Astral Byte\Heldric
  • Added ambient forest sounds for first map
  • Tweaked starting wave spawn count
  • Added increasing numbers per wave
  • Fixed Pause menu "Exit Game" to quit instead of returning to main menu
  • Fixed minimap player direction indicator
  • Fixed AI to be notified of new structures so they won't try and navigate into them
  • Fixed Update and Build windows to auto-refresh when player has enough coins/population

Build 5023 ChangeLog:

  • Added bow attacks for player (requires arrows)
  • Added fletcher building, makes arrows, upgrade for more arrows per wave
  • Added bonus damage to blacksmith for each upgrade level (1-4)
  • Added tooltips to all HUD items
  • Added blink/fadeout for F1 help text
  • Added coin income from killing monsters (player or villagers)
  • Added icon to executable
  • Added more building plots on map
  • Fixed bug where player wouldn't use unarmed (punch/kick) attacks
  • Fixed upgrades not removing correct coin amounts
  • Fixed bug where player would be stuck in attack animation
  • Fixed bug where player would attack and deal damage without animation
  • Fixed weapon keys mapped to correct weapon now
  • Tweaked building costs and villager income rates
