I have to agree. It somehow also looks like the ocean is frozen. But it's hard to judge from a picture so please post a video for further analysis. :D

Yeah aha, it looks like there's melted slushy snow floating all in the ocean, odd.

The effect is realistic, real oceans have little spots like that caused by multiple little waves crushing into each other creating new waves and so on. The texture of the water however looks a little too dense, like BogdanM said a little like it's flash frozen or something. If they'd adjust the textures a bit to increase transparency then the effect should be a lot clearer. Also the light effects are excellent, every wave has it's own angle and height so each wave reflects sunlight differently. This creates a lot of light specks on the water surface and that is done beautifully!
My compliments to the artist!

Looks incredible. Looking forward to more details soon.
If i remembered correctly you guys were aiming for a playable alpha in the Summer right? Is this still possible to achieve or is it going to take a little longer?

We still can't make any promises, but several people on the team will have much more time to contribute in a couple of weeks, so we'll be in a good position to make some serious progress, leading to a pre-alpha demo possibly by the end of summer.

We still have a lot of work to do, so no official release date yet. As I said above though, we might have a demo available in the coming months.

Can Thagarr please unban me on the forums? I will have time to study UnrealScript and 3d modelling in 3 weeks. Until then i'm not going to learn much but still trying it. If Thagarr could unban me I could finally see what you guys are completely up to and I think I behave quite well around here.

thanks Armada. I promise you I won't let you down. Is my IP-adres only unbanned or is my account also unbanned?
Killerjoy96 still gets the report for being banned for trolling.

Could you please also lift my IP-ban?
It's still in place and I would really see where you guys currently are and I hope to be an addition to the team in about 3-4 weeks.

Description

We're happy to finally give you another progress update, and this one gives you an idea of how the ocean is currently looking in the game engine itself. Everything in the image is still a work in progress, including the textures and materials. Expect to see more updates in the coming weeks!
