"Hangar Zero-One" tasks the player with the job of pilot and engineer. Build your very own aircraft using the intuitive in-game editor. Each part you use affects the craft's performance in its own way and serves a purpose. With the custom-built plane, the player can explore the world of Freegale, looking for missions and quests to earn a larger budget and a fuller selection of parts. Besides the adventure mode, there will be an "endless mode", where you take on ever-increasing waves of enemies as you build up your aircraft each mission until you get a game over. Development is still in progress, but playable versions are already available to the public.

No HZO updates made me start a game inspired by this, only a bit more space-ish. The problem is that I am it's developer. I have already started five times, only to lose interest and leave it alone. When I return back to the game, I find the code horrible and decide to start from scratch again...

It took me a few weeks to understand what you meant by that comment.

No, my sideproject is not based on building vehicles out of parts. But there is a good bit of building to be had.

Actually, I cheated and started a side-project. Something a tad less ambitious than HZO, but I'll return to HZO before too long.

Sometime soon, you may see this side-project on indieDB as well.

Just checking in to say I'm alive. Life gets in the way of these kinds of projects, but I plan to get back to this soon.

Hey it's fine I can wait as long as it takes. I understand how circumstances can change very quickly and unexpectedly, many if my previous projects ended in such a way. just don't let life get in the way of the things you want to do. Good luck!

I was wondering... will there be added multiplayer support in the future such as samescreen multiplayer(like raiden project)?

also, will the player be able to add in new parts/weapons to the game?

lastly, i could help with the spriting if you need someone to help.

I do want there to be some sort of local multiplayer.

I'd make online multiplayer, but I don't have the resources to upkeep such a system. Oh well.

I also plan some modding stuff down the line. It will be relatively simple to add new content.

If I ever need any more people on the HZO team I'll post about it here.

Ok thanks for such a quick response! just know that I am availible if you ever need me.

and yeah i figured online multiplayer would be quite difficult, but you might be able to set it up but instead of hosting you could let the player host? but that would be very hard so it really doesn't matter.

And i am very happy that there will be player made content that can be put into the game!

Good luck!
